I recently started a novel with a trans girl in it and a crossdressing guy, I'd really love to read more novels and comics with other transgender or non-binary characters (or other people outside of the cis binary gender setup). I'm looking for gender, not sexuality here

Here is mine:

Though not part of the main plot (nor is it the main character that is trans, but one of their best friends) it's an important aspect that comes up a lot in sub-plots.

I do a slice-of-life comic featuring myself...a non-binary creator! 8') Uhh so not really a character, but you know. Always nice to read content with trans/non-binary characters, as well as finding other creators like myself to support.

I have a novel where one of the main characters identifies as a gender hybrid. It's not the same as non-binary, but it is the gender spectrum.

I write a lot of transgender characters as well. I really want to share one of them here, but the fact that the character is transgender is connected to a major spoiler.

I have 2 webcomics with characters whose genders arent specified

in this one, they are just colours, colours have no gender, NO GENDER ROLES (pretty much non-binary)

and for this, it's a little specified in one comic that theyre not cis sooo..... ye

I have five comics I'm working on that have NB or Trans Characters.
Buuuut I've only published three,
and I'm only working on one currently because I'm trying to pace myself.

Storytale is the one I'm working on currently, A story focused on fairytales. It's in the beginings of the first chapter. There is a Trans Girl who shows Up later and I one of the main eight. But she isn't around yet

my second series that I've had for a couple years now. BUUT it's on a large Hiatus while I work on storytale. It's a sci-fi adventure about a young woman and her crew of aliens. Two of the main cast are Non-binary, one due to their planet not having a gender-binary. the other's planet has multiple genders like ours. The Main love interest and partner to the main girl is non binary.

my last published one, also On Hiatus, but I'm definetly hoping to finish it one day. It's a Beauty and The Beast retelling. With Rose, a trans Princess just coming to terms with her gender. And her love story with a girl named beast who has a secret curse. Her story mostly focuses on the love story, and her learning about magic and such. It has maybe 6-7 pages. I'm hoping that one day I'll go back and restart it, I have alot of different Idea. ((This comic is also the only comic where I bring up deadnames. which is something i haven't figure if I'd keep when i return to the comic))

I also Have a magical girl/ magical boy comic that has a trans boy main character, (his name is Naveen and I love him). It's mostly about fighting monsters and stopping the second apocalypse. But also looks into mentors and having people you relate to and can see yourself in, each of the main three have these different storylines around that concept, with Naveen himself never actually realizing that there are other people like him until he actually starts to meet them. but Like storytale and Lalita it's a massive story that I would want to take the time to focus on and I can't do two big stories at once. or any two stories at once. -_-

It will be a while until they're introduced do to the slow nature of weekly updates, but I'll have three nonbinary characters, and a lovely trans gal in my cast eventually.

I can't imagine myself ever creating a comic without trans or nb characters, honestly.

I'm NB/trans myself! Rethe takes place in a world with a somewhat different understanding of gender (there are two gender roles, but biology is considered a suggestion of which role you should take, not to determine it, and they don't even care too much about that), so it gets a little complicated.
The main character does a feminine job, but still is kind of attached to a masculine identity, partially because some of the concepts fit him better, and partially because IDing male lets him dodge an inheritance.
Seph is too tired to care about gender in any world.
Vedya is intersex, but IDs as female while doing a masculine job.
If I had to give them western labels, Rous is a feminine dude Seph is nonbinary, and Vedya is an intersex butch lesbian, but in world they all kind of fall into a nebulous "dangit, you aren't gendering right for your career path kids".
So... it's complicated, but I would safety say there is probably at least one lead character who you would count as trans by some definition

hey! in twaw the fomor have a non binary gender system, and both balor and cath are trans / nonbinary / its complicated

hiiii forums it has been a while.

i have a major trans character. he makes his first appearance in chapter 4 with a bit of impromptu vampire hunting

i have a major nonbinary character too who will debut in the next chapter :ok_hand::ok_hand: also let the record stand i am a trans creator myself. they are my dearly beloveds

the main character of my comic blaise is a trans guy ! and i've also been told cog counts as a trans girl. the hunter robots also all use they pronouns

My comic is long-form/ongoing. It's mainly a mystery, involving a creepy town, unusual occurrences, and protagonists that have 0 experience with mystery solving. They try their best. :^D
One of the main protagonists, Noel, is a trans girl.

I've been working on this Boy Love comic which features Ryan, who identifies as FTM, and is in a decadent relationship with one of his students.

It's quite a new thing for me, and I'm quite enjoying it.

I'm also working on my a novel that features two non-binary characters, Mika and Reggie:

I'm hoping if I manage to finish it, it will be a part of this year's Writer's Camp!

:3

Well, my comic isn't really about queer stuff, and my character's gender doesn't come up for a really long time in the story. But my main character, Julian, is a fem non-binary. They're just presenting as masculine-ish right now for reasons.
Although I have to warn you my comic is NSFW and contains darker themes.

Off the top of my head I'd also recommend a couple comics, both of which feature trans characters.

Both of these are awesome story driven works, sporting lovely visuals!

One of my characters is a trans man but I have yet to figure out how to smoothly integrate that into the story as its not actually about being transgender. I don't want to never mention it because that is a cop out but as of yet it hasn't happened because its not a story about gender.

Main character's demon has no real defined gender since it has no actual solid form and a fighter whose introduced in chapter 4 named Smokestack is genderless/sexless who will have more involvement later on.

10 days later

Here's my comic with a trans boy and a non-binary kid as the mains! (this hasn't become known by the audience yet, but it will in a bit.)

Hi, I have two series posted on Tapas, both have at least one NB/Gender Diverse character.

There's Adventures Of The Disparate Crew, which is a series of short stories about a group of teenagers, one of the prominent characters, Kelly, identifies as genderqueer and uses "They" pronouns.

Also, my other series is called A Classical Guitar Dream, one of the main character's best friends is called Hayden, but goes as Halley sometimes. Hayden is genderfluid, and his/her gender changes throughout the series.

I haven't really gotten to the point where Gwyn's gender is thoroughly discussed, but soon I will.
And Thomas is demisexual.
