@TenguHarley's Revenants and the Child of Autumn:
- First of all, I love all the details you put into your artwork; even from the beginning, the stained glass already stands out and shows how much effort you’re putting into these environments. The visual details really flesh out the world which I think really helps make your comic stand out since it’s in black and white!
- On the topic of visuals, I like how you use the visuals to show details and help tell the story, such as with Li’s frost “problem” and with all the monsters. You further explain them in the text, but having those visual cues really helps them stand out more.
- You do well transitioning between the different scenes; it doesn’t feel jarring for me when you switch from Li to the others, for example.
- I noticed at the beginning that the order of some panels were hard to follow; I think this improves as you progress through the chapters, but it’s still a point of consideration. It’s not a huge problem, but maybe trying to read your panels and speech balloons without the pictures can help make sure they flow as you want them to and use the spacing between panels to make them read more clearly; this problem crops up more when you have many small panels together.
Also, it might help to give your dialogue a little more room in the balloons; this also improves throughout the pages, but sometimes they might just be a tad on the tighter side. Again, not a huge problem, but just something to think about.
It’s an engaging story with enough action and mystery to keep you invested! I’m interested to learn the reasons behind many of the questions presented, such as the reason behind Li’s “condition,” while also curious how Li will succeed--and if not, how that will go.
@Twinvizions’s Otaku-sama:
- The video game references are fun and got a good laugh from me, especially when they’re experiences I’ve had playing the referenced games.
- The episodes are relatively short, sweet, and get a good little chuckle from me; so, I think they’re quite effective!
- When it’s not being humorous, there are also strips that are sweet, cute, or both. Nonetheless, it stays lighthearted and is refreshing when you need a pick-me-up.
- Also, the art is just adorable; I love how simple and cute the characters are.
The comic has adorable characters and is great to read when you need something lighthearted to get you through the day. The comedy works really well, especially for anyone who often plays video games and is familiar with all the tropes and jokes associated with them!
Keep up the great work, both of you, and thank you for asking me to take a look at your comics!
