Preferable Novel Word Count Per Episode?

Hi, everyone! It's been a while since I last posted or interacted on the forums. I kinda miss the community here.

Anyway, I've been writing this fantasy novel lately and, based on the outline I made, it will most likely exceed 50,000 words or more. I'm planning on finishing it first before posting so that I can update episodes daily. What do you guys recommend I limit my word count to? Is 500 words reasonable for each daily update or should I increase it to 1,000+ words instead?

One of these threads comes up every couple of weeks and the general consensus seems to be 800-1300 per episode

If you're planning only 50,000 words, that won't be a lot of chapters if you aim for 1,000 words. I have 17 chapters so far and I'm already at 17,000 words! Since it seems like a shorter novel, I'd aim for 500ish words.

Honestly I don't have a preferred word count. I just tend to write until I get the chapter done and what I want to get across in it.

To be honest, I'm actually aiming for 100,000 words and more (since the story has a LOT of subplots along the way) but I don't know if I'm able to do that, so I'm settling for an expectation of 50,000 words instead. I do think that I'm leaning more towards the idea of 500-800 words per episode, though!

For a daily update, I think it's good. My chapters are about 2000+ words

For me, writing fantasy, I feel like 1.5K words is the sweet spot. Sometimes when the story demands it, I go under to around 1k words or over to over 2k words.

I think 500-800 word count is good but also consider ending each episode in a nice place.. In my case I started writing in an episodic style so I don't have much problem with the word count (my word count is playing around that numbers)

I understand. For a genre like fantasy, each chapter is usually detailed enough for the story to keep moving at a good pace.

Yes, I will consider that as well! It won't be good if the ending for each chapter falls flat to the point where it disinterests readers from continuing

Okay so, I personally from my experience, will read up so 3000 words per episode.
If its too long I will quickly lose interest.

The character limitation in Tapas is something I find bothersome. It destroys the emotions I want to invoke from the readers. It waters down their reactions.

I've had a chapter that was 17k/15k and its posted without issue. No cut off or anything XD

I use a looot of italics in my writing. It's totally my One Weakness. Along with adverbs. And cliches. And math. After typing out about 16 chapters in Word, I thought I was ready to start posting.
