Yeah, I did make some....
So first, obviously, the print pages aren't spaced out like the tapas versions are... but that's less making a change and more just using the pages in their original format. And they're in 300dpi as well.
Then due to a combination of not needing the text to read at phone size, and having less gutter space, the speech bubbles and text are all smaller in the print version. That was one of the biggest changes and took by far the longest; all the lettering has been redone at least somewhat to fit the space better.
....And then after I got some proof copies, I had to move a bunch of the ones that I'd placed too far outside the safety zone on the inside edge that were vanishing into the spine on such a thick book....aaagh.
I made minor fixes to grammar and punctuation while doing this too, and some of the sound effect fonts were changed or improved because I have a bigger library of them to work with than I used to, and a better sense for what works.
The second biggest change was the colour. Errant uses very bright colours, so I knew this would likely cause some issues. First I looked up what hardware the printer (Mixam UK) use, and then what CMYK profile that make of printer uses (FOGRA39) and so rather than converting my pages to generic CMYK, I converted them to FOGRA39 specifically, and then went through the Adobe InDesign file page by page looking for colours that looked funky with this profile and editing them using the "replace colour" function in photoshop until they looked good. A lot of the really bright neon pinks needed tweaking to a more reddish pink or a pure magenta. Plus any pages with a lot of pure black, I needed to change the black to a "rich black" to make those areas print without streaks.
Finally there are some minor tweaks to a few of the very early prologue pages where I was getting used to the style and the faces looked weird to me. Some eyes have been moved into line, some noses made a little smaller to match the style Errant developed into better.... and one page that bothers me but nobody else has ever commented on where I accidentally coloured Urien with Rekki's skintone has been fixed.
Honestly putting the book together took a really long time overall, and the best advice I can give is to assume it might take quite a lot of work, to pay attention to detail and to get a couple of proof prints first to check it all works if you can.
