Maybe it's the Avatar nerd in me, but I've always loved comics and cartoons that feature animal as side kicks or prominent characters. So, in my ongoing quest to meet creators who love the same things as me, I'm asking you to share your animal sidekick comics! Post a few pictures, drop a link, check out other people's work, and consider subscribing if you like what you find!

I'll go first. My comic is a fantasy coming of age story about a girl who lives on an island once populated by dragons and now overrun by giant flies. The protagonist lives a very isolated life in a lighthouse, but she has one friend, a bird named piper!

Hi! I am also a fan of Avatar.
This is my comic! It features animal-like beings referred as Beastkin (I also have a worldbuilding miniseries that has a page all about these creatures and their origin). Also, a few of my main characters are Beastkin

Salamon Almond is a Salamander/Newt from Puro Ladrillo City. He serves as the best friend of protagonist Seymon Makenki in TMBD, and he's kind of the deadpool of TNSMD.
He's my favorite character from my comic actually.

There's a stuffed monkey that serves as a kind of brother to the MC as well, but I think more of him as a plush rather than an "actual" animal.

My comic will have an animal sidekick in the near future, I already designed him and showed him in the comic. The comic is fantasy/mystery and it's about a girl trying to learn magic to help people. It's set in the time of the Black Death in Europe. Feel free to check it out! ^^

Krism is one main characters of the series, and because I wanted to make an animal character she has her pet Hizu the dog. Hizu hasn't actually don anything in the story yet but she has made an appearance in episode 4!

Do alien sidekicks count? If so, I just released the first update to my latest comic- Space Pack! It is a sci-fi/comedy set in 1996 where a teenager’s average suburban life gets turned upside down by the arrival of aliens- and alien WEREWOLVES! The main character, Bally, teams up with a little alien named Nismo throughout the story!

This webcomic is about a guinea pig named Kobi. She's an adorable pet who lives with a middle schooler, Chion Minami. And her friend is Zeus, the cat who is the pet of Chon's brother. In her adventures, Kobi accompanies Chion where ever he goes to meet new friends and explore Maine and New England.
