One of my characters isn't evil, but fits the antihero archetype in the sense that he's morally grey, and has indirectly (and sometime directly) caused a lot of pain and suffering, though that stuff hasn't really come up at this point, since I'm still publishing the first plot arc.
He's a chaos god, who personifies the breadth of the concept of chaos as it's evolved over time, from the primordial void or matter from which the universe was created, to disorder and disaster. Because of this he doesn't really believe in any higher morality -- things just happen, but he does his best to protect the people he cares about, not because it's right, but just because he cares about them. But protecting them is hard, because, well, shit happens, especially when you hang out with a chaos god.
