I'm promoting my discord. If you don't want to join then that's fine. But it's still promoting my discord. Additionally OP says right in their opening post "you can also use this thread to promote servers for your own works or for yourself in general" so even if I didn't have a discord at all I would still be within the bounds of this thread.

You're mostly promoting your patreon, It just feels wrong to make it a patreon exclusive when you're a small creator. (That's just me though, you do you)

I'm mostly promoting myself. My patreon is more me than my comic is. So, whether or not I'm promoting my patreon isn't really relevant and you're being more upset that I'm putting my patreon in a thread with the title about Discords rather than any wrong on my part. What matters is the environment you want to build with the discord. I could be convinced to have a free discord channel or something and then special tiered sections. But you'll need to work on how you approach people "Hey I think you're wrong but whatever you do you" Is not the friendliest way to broach any kind of topic when it really does come down to what the creator wants and not what you want. I'll help. "It'd be cool if you made your discord open to the public and made tiers related to special roles and gave special channels and such to those people. That way I can engage with you and the community and chat". It acknowledges more that it's your suggestion more than right or wrong and additionally tells me that you might be a reader (whether or not you are) and would like to give me your input. btw I'm not being snarky or sarcastic. It's hard to tell through text so I wanted to make that clear that I understand what you're saying and then convinced myself that you might have a point but I also wanted to bring up that you went about it poorly and and in a passive aggressive sort of way. and that had you approached it differently I would have been more immediately receptive to you.

Ah okay you are just being a jerk. You clearly didn't read anything I wrote passed the third sentence or you wouldn't have responded that way. So, I'll refrain from being reasonable. Read OP's initial post. I know it's difficult for you because reading requires effort. I'm promoting myself. You're wrong. Learn to read.

I believe when OP says for yourself, they mean your own servers not related to your series, I'm not OP so I could be wrong here. You didn't have to be rude.

You can believe whatever you want. You can believe the sky is green. Doesn't make it true. If OP comes out and tells me "I didn't mean your patreon please don't post that" Then that's fine. But he hasn't. So what you believe really doesn't matter does it Have a nice day

I explained how it was rude and how it could have been fixed in detail. You just don't like to read. Just because you don't think you were rude doesn't mean you weren't. And I explained how I thought you weren't trying to be rude but that was how you came off to me. Next time read through the response. I was willing to have that dialogue with you.
