For kid, I was both too indecisive to pick just one name, and also thinking of some spelling of Kawan.
Hugo, I remembered this book I used to read as a kid, called “The invention of Hugo Cabret” and, it was either that, Atticus or Adam. I latched more onto the current name lol.
A character that hasn’t appeared yet, is Romeo. I picked his name cause his “brother” is inspired by the song Ooedo Julia night. And Julia is practically Juliet, so I decided to be a little funny with that.

It’s a vocaloid song by MitchieM. It’s a very energetic 90s style techno song. I HEAVILY recommend it, it’s one of my favorite songs

Oh, the character hasn't appeared yet, but I have an Auntie who is Ghanaian who's been like a mother to me. I asked her how mother is said in Twi, and she told me it's "Mae" hence the name of my Ghanaian teacher in "Hushabye Prince" Fatou Mae.

I admit all of my OCs names are basic in Uncle Howard and Paul (it is set in the modern day in a supposed Filipino-inspired city), so I guess the most unique name is Brad, since you really don't see Brad being used as a girl's name.

Brad's name is actually a nickname. We Filipinos, especially men, like to call one another brad or bro or brother or any iterations of that. In Brad's case, she grew up with brothers who call her that, especially when she was diving into more masculine mannerisms and hobbies. (She is a butch lesbian who loves basketball and collecting shiny rocks, can you blame her?) Anyways, she love the nickname so much that she insisted to be called Brad by everyone. Her real name? It's Monica.

Most of the names in Damsel in the Red Dress are pretty basic too, they are just named normal names because the world is fairly normal, with the exception of a few very specific people who's names are more unique, like Kattar, which as far as I knew was not a real first name (it is 711 people have the name) and Shannon Carmichael, who's name stands out because it made the MC assume he was a woman before she met him.

Okay, so one of the two main characters in Clyborne-Chatterjee is named Tasarinan (called Rin for short)-His is actually a geographic region in Lord of the Rings. His name was actually suggested by my brother, as one of Rin's dads ran a bookstore and was a major book nerd. Giving the kid a name from LOTR kinda fits him anyway.

Ubara-Tutu: According to Mesopotamian myth, he was the last king of Sumer before a great flood destroyed his empire. In my tale, he's a powerful, arrogant politician on the rise.

Some of my other characters are Ziusudra (Ziu), Utnapishtim (Pishti), Deucalion and Noach. Look them up on Wikipedia and you'll get a pretty good idea about where this story is going...

Probably a character that hasn't been introduced as of yet, but his name is Kido Enji.
Kido: meaning: brightness; clearness; luminance)
Enji: meaning fire (taken from the Albanian god of fire En/Enji)

He's a pretty complex character, and there's quite a lot of meaning to his name, but you'll have to read to find that out.

Most of the demons in my comic are named after demons in fiction and whatever i find in google when researching demon based names. The main character, Sauria, was named that cause I was struggling to give her a name and my brother randomly gave her that name cause she had a dinosaur tail.

Most names are made up in this series, if not just random words that wouldn't normally be names.
ie. Ratzi is a play on words for Paparazzi since that is his job.

I don't know how unique the name Pragna is in general, but I think it's pretty rare in the USA. Kattar's second best bff (I.e., his bff outside of Alicia who doesn't get to count anymore because she's also almost his gf XD) Utkarsh is engaged, and his fiance's name is Pragna. I got that name from an episode of watching "Jubilee"s show "Odd One Out."

The bonus chapter is coming out this Friday assuming all goes well, it's an alternate versions of the chapter "ring around the Rosy" written from Kattar's POV:

Well right now I think most of the characters in "Rigamarole" just have extremely normal names, but Leia is totally named after the Princess from star wars. Her mother is named Eunice, which is a name I think I heard for the first time watching Bible Man as a kid, because it was the name of his AI system on his computer. Eunice was an acronym, but for the life of me, I don't remember what it stood for lol.
