My web novel Jade Kingdoms covers a few personal themes:
Generational trauma: How to end the cycle with yourself, heal from it but also realize you cannot save everybody from the hell they themselves have created and choose to stay in. There's no need to be the hero and heal everybody in the family, just do your part.
Unlearning: A lot of stuff is carried by our shoulders but might not even be our burden to bear. Learning to let go of these convictions and installing new healthy ones is how you heal.
Don't be afraid of the dark: The darkness within is also part of you. Your own darkness is meant to be ugly and a confronting mirror, but learning to explore themes such as the depth of your anger, the vile pit of your jealousy and perhaps even the amount of contempt you hold can help your understand other aspects of yourself. In order to control these emotions, you have to understand them too, and my novel is going to go deeply into this section.
Soft strength: People have a ridiculously warped idea of what strength looks like. Enduring, waiting, and pacing slowly through life are also examples of strength. They are not weaknesses, and just because it is assumed someone is frail or helpless doesn't mean they always will be. This section is probably the main theme of my book, and a reminder there are various types of strength.
