For The VoidGarden, I wanted to try something I hadn't seen before: create a western comic series inspired by shonen manga. Specifically, I wanted to keep the Saturday morning cartoon style but mix it with themes and storytelling more often found in shonen.
Currently, the series is still setting the story up. But what is currently there is an episodic adventure about a blue guy with a talking backpack who hopes to one day make a name for himself.
Before long, this tale will give way to a plot about travelling the great unknown, attempting to save the world, and what it means to be a hero.
It's a series all about the theme of selflessness vs selfishness. If that sounds like something that would be of interest, consider checking it out! The series updates monthly.
