(Open for Novels & Comcis)

Hi everyone! It has been a while since my last Read-for-Read Thread and since I haven't seen one of those around in a while (aside from sub for sub, which is honestly ineffective in my opinion) I decided to make a new one.
Either way, I decided to open up a new thread for those of you who love to support others & get support :coffee_love:

The rules are simply:

  1. Read two or three (or more) chapters/episodes of my novel and like / comment if you want to support me. You can also leave some feedback here in this thread if you like that more. :revolving_hearts:
  2. Only sub if you actually wish to read more/support me in the future! You don't have to sub if you don't like it, you aren't interested or it is just not what you like to read! Please don't sub to creators if you don't want to read or support their work in the future.
  3. Now you can leave a link to your novel here and to spice things up, tell me one or two things you absolutely love about your novel/comic! I think we should all practice more self-love sometimes, so feel free to show me what you are proud of :heart_03:
  4. Feel free to check out others work in this thread as well!
  5. I will check out your project in return and leave you some support as well! :revolving_hearts: As mentioned, if I do love your work or are interested in it, I will leave you a sub but if I don't please don't think too much of it! Most of the time I am just not interested in the topic/theme of your project.

Anyways, enough talk! I will try to get back to everyone though it might take me a while so keep that in mind please. Either way, let me start us off!

Here's my novel "Essence of Life." I think what I love the most about it are the hidden mysteries waiting to be unfolded. There are just so many secrets and lore I am waiting to unpack slowly and I truly can't wait! I also love how I am able to wrap the emotions into my writing, I always try to put in some feelings so it connects more to the reader.

I don´t get why nobody´s commenting when this seems to me like a nice idea :´)

Anyway, I´ll go check out your story and also leave mine here:

This is a lovely idea, and I'm glad I got in quick haha. As for Jade Kingdoms, I love my world-building. My original species, the thing I have done with their culture and magic systems- I adore it. I've worked very hard for it too, omg :green_heart:

Thank you for joining! :cry_02: I honestly thought no one was interested? Maybe read for read isn't their thing even though it is more reasonable than sub for sub. :sweat_02: Either way, thank you! I will check out your story soon and leave you a little feedback here as well! :revolving_hearts:

Aww! Thank you! And I don't think you are early if no one showed up to the party- (I think you can say it like this for the fact this thread was posted yesterday with no interaction at all :cry_01: ) But thank you either way! I am glad you joined! That sounds like some lovely things to be proud of! :revolving_hearts: I will check out your novel soon and leave you a little feedback here as well! :smile_01:

Hello, is this thread only for novels? Because I draw a comic and would like to participate in this read for read as well.

It's open for both novels & comics! Sorry, I should have specified it, I will add it on top to make it clearer! :sweat_02: So, if you want to join, go ahead! :revolving_hearts:

@julipow I definitely see what you mean by leaving mysteries and lore to be revealed later! There are plenty of questions after reading just the first few pages. Your writing is also very descriptive with some very cool visuals.

This is my novel - it's the story of two strangers who run away from their lives together. I really like the gradual reveal of the characters' backstories (which admittedly hasn't really started happening yet). There's a lot of misdirection for one of them which I believe creates a mystery amidst a story that's mainly focused on character growth.

Okay, so I have read the first two chapters of "How to survive the worst novel ever written" and I did enjoy it a lot! I love the concept, it's very unique! I think it's an amazing concept for the romance genre so I am sure you are going to find many more amazing supports! Sadly, the romance/isekai genre isn't what I usually enjoy, so that's the only reason I didn't sub. It is an amazing story though and I wish you good luck with it in the future! :revolving_hearts:

Awesome. Then here is my comic. It's a horror story of vampires, blood, and betrayal inspired by nightmares that I've actually had. Hope you enjoy this read.

Also, thank you for this opportunity. I work full-time so I'll read the other works in this thread as the week rolls on.

I actually like read for reads better than sub for subs. It feels less demanding. Plus it makes me do what I just did, which is give a novel a shot  Thanks for the chance to share!
Here's my comic if you're interested in Slice of Life/light comedy:

@ApplesOverIndia Thank you for joining! And oh my, I am glad to hear that it has the desired effect on the reader! Thank you! :blusht: Your novel sounds very interesting as well! I definitely will give it a read once I have more free time and leave you some feedback!

@ScaryTerry Oh, that sounds very interesting actually! :smile_01: I will have a look at it once I have the chance to! I can leave you some feedback here as well if you want to! :revolving_hearts: Also, no worries, take all the time you need to read people's work. No pressure here at all.

@Gramkrackerhan Same honestly! I just think sub for sub's are useless since most people will just sub and leave it at that without genuinely being interested in your work. (Which really doesn't help in my opinion). And thank you! I am glad to hear you gave my novel a shot! :smile_01: I hope you enjoyed reading it so far! I will definitely check out your comic once I have the chance to! I can also leave you some feedback if you want. :revolving_hearts:

Feedback is always appreciated! I will also do the same with yours on your novel  I read two chapters before I had to run, but I am enjoying it so far!

I actually attempted at reading through a few chaps, and despite I like the premise, I have quite difficulties reading webnovels, especially if not in motherlanguage, but I do love the inclusion of musics to accompany the reading, buuuut, I would quite say that the use of music with Lyirics (Examples: "Chapter 0 - Dear Diary", and "Chapter 2 - Fragile 1"), might be kind of distracting in the reading, unlike with instrumentals that actually help to stay on the text.
I might give it a few more tries along other webnovel I've subscribed, maybe trying the phone, for the moment I subscribe so to follow the progress on the execution.

Anyway, here is my Debut Prologue series, despite I've started a month ago the publisshing, I'm actually proud to have finally put my ideas straight, and finally decided to release a Story I was working on 8 years of concpetualization, and 3 of actual draft, writing, revision and finalization, instead of a Novel, as a true comic series! But before starting with the real deal, I thought to release with a short introductory series that has the purpose to introduce the characters and the world building, one of the thing I also am proud of, because i'm so obsessed with details that I lost an afternoon using Britain's size to help me making a believable schedule for the Train system and the distances of the world, as well also the Lore and Timeline (That I can't reveal as of now Eh eh).

Set in a "Fantasy" world with Sci-fi roots, "Stories from the Golden Garden" is a "Slice of Life" anthology that, following the Prologue, tells 5 short stories based around 4 Holidays that are celebrated by the Main Characters, and the origin Story of the main protagonist of "The Golden Garden".

Feel free to give feedback as I gave one, even a critic is welcomed.

Enjoy your stay, have a nice day

I'll join in. I'll be reading yours later tonight, or, if I'm lucky, maybe sooner. Here's mine.

Here's mine! I'll be sure to read a few as soon as I am done my editing for today

@Fedriz_Marini Thank you for joining in and reading my novel! I am happy to hear you like the premises and inclusion of music! :blusht: Also, no worries, I get that reading is difficult for some (be it through disabilities or because english isn't their mother tongue etc). I completely understand that because I am not native English myself. The music was chosen for a purpose, if they are lyrics, they tie in with the meaning of the chapter and what is said but I can understand that some think it's harder to focus on reading through it.
Either way, your work looks interesting! I will give it a read soon and leave you some feedback and critique if I have something to criticize. :revolving_hearts:

@ratscout Thank you so much for joining as well! :smile_01: I hope you will enjoy reading my novel. I will definitely check out your work soon, it looks very intriguing and the little summary here already caught my attention. :revolving_hearts: I will leave you some feedback as well if you want to.

@HopefulAttempt Thank you for joining! :revolving_hearts: I hope you will have fun checking out some of the amazing works here! I will check out your work once I have the chance to, it definitely sounds very interesting already! :coffee_love:

I read the first few chapters of your novel and I did enjoy it! The pacing is good, not to slow and not to quick so I definitely would say it is just right! I like the few secrets and mysteries you keep hidden and wrapped within the story and I am sure you will reveal it later on. It really feels like a story that focuses on the characters themselves like a silce-of-life movie. Your writing style is also very lovely, it gives off the right vibes for your novel. :revolving_hearts:

Thank you! The mysteries definitely ramp up a little further in than it is right now when tidbits about Mitta's past start coming out. Focusing on the characters was absolutely the goal, so I'm glad that came across!

Thank you! I am glad to hear you are enjoying my novel so far! :cry_02: :revolving_hearts:

I gave your comic a read and oh my, I absolutely enjoy it! The light hearted comedy mixed with the slice of life elements are perfectly relateable and create almost a safe space for readers to enjoy your short stories in these comics! I really enjoyed your art style as it fits perfectly to what you want to portray! I gave you a sub because I definitely want to get back to read more once I have more time! :revolving_hearts:
