@AkaAllanah I think I read enough to already have a solid opinion on your comic, the prologue was more than enough to hook me up and pull me into your story! First of all, I really really love the concept and friendship build up that is happening in your comic. It is such a sweet tragic story already and I feel like it will only get better! The story telling is just right, there is so much build up in the prologue alone already that I am really excited to read more! I honestly don't have anything to criticize on. I absolutely love the feeling of your comic and while I usually don't read this type of genre/story, I definitely find myself enjoying it!
I will continue reading your comic and follow along this journey to see where it will lead you. Overall, it's an really amazing work already and I personally love it a lot!
The next novels/comics I will check out are from @jcmraz @ruqi @Utamee and @JoshRaid ! Thank you all for joining! It will take me a while to get around to reading your work because I am going to be very busy this upcoming week, but I will get to it eventually.
If you wish to receive some feedback from me in this thread, please let me know! Thank you and have a nice rest of your week everyone!
@julipow Don't worry take your time. I'm super busy this week too, I will read yours soon I have free time. .
Yes, I would love feedback.
Aw thanks so much for the kind comments
I'm really glad you've enjoyed it so far and just with the prologue which I've been meaning to expand on. I originally wrote it as a novel so I did have a bit more in the prologue that I cut for the sake of continuing into the story but developed the two of them more. I hope you like the rest of the story too
@jcmraz So, I finally had time to have a look at your comic! First of all, I really love your art style, it fits the comic so well and goes well with the story! I also love the whole concept of it, it's really interesting to start with action right away! I really enjoyed reading the episodes I was able to!
Just a few things I noticed that might could be improved: The one page episodes for me personally are a bit too short, I know a lot of comic creators decide to only post one page per episode so they can keep a weekly update schedule but it for me it disrupts the story flow a lot and can hinder people from enjoying to binge read it. Of course, that could just be my personal preference so no worries! Everyone has different taste!
The other thing I noticed is that 50 pages aka almost 50 episodes for Chapter 0 so basically the prologue/introduction/start of the story is A LOT. I haven't seen any web/traditional published comic with such a long Chapter 0 and I think it would be beneficial if you cut it down a bit or split this long chapter into multiple chapters. But again, that could be just my personal preference. Either way, I really loved your comic and I am sure you are going to gain plenty more supporters for such an unique and amazing story! Keep up the good work, you are doing amazing!
Hi here is my work :
https://tapas.io/series/Mermaids-ffxiv (3/5 ep out) new ep tomorrow
https://tapas.io/series/Sniflheim-civil-war (4/14 ep out) new ep in 2h
https://tapas.io/series/The-Strange-Visitor/ new ep tomorrow
lol yeah I do the pages in part because I would only be able to upload like 2 or 3 times a year if I didn't XP but also because the dream is for print and I enjoy the page format more personally. Definitely different strokes though and I have done a short scrolling comic on webtoons once before And yeahh I know haha I went way overboard on that and didnt realize until it was too late XD So I worked to finish that up and prepare for moving forward. I jumped in before I was ready to avoid getting stuck in revision hell lol Chapter 1 will be 14-17 pages long and I've got a much better control on pace than I did at the start. That's actually a thing I keep in mind at all times when writing moving passed chapter 0. The whole chapter 0 should have been condensed to maybe 20 pages. I agree entirely with you on that!
Thank you so much for reading and giving your thoughts! I hope you're right lol
Sorry for the wait @julipow and @Tinkerton, but I will be completing my participation in the read for read this week and should have my reviews together by Sunday.
@julipow, HI there, just finished read your book. Really cool, I genuinely support the story to be made as a movie or cartoon. The character's seem fun. Sorry, took me this long, I just have the time to breath now.
Hi there! I read a couple chapters of your novel and left you a comment. I would read more, but I don't have much free time for the next several days. What I did read I really enjoyed so I will return to read more when I can ^_^
Here is my passion project I have been trying to gain a following for while I work on the comic counterpart.
I love the psychological struggle that my MC goes through and the way his character develops throughout the series physically and mentally. And I also love the romantic relationship of him and his partner as it is going to be based heavily on trust and support.
Genre: romance, fantasy, drama. A slowburn with supernatural twists.
@Stargazer31 @bulletcrucifixion @techstylesstudio @ZakuraTheFungi Welcome! Thank you for joining in this thread! So far, I am still busy checking out the others stories but once I am done with these I will have a look at your works!
Thank you for your patience and have a nice day everyone!
Hello, here are my reviews for the read for read. I want to do my feedback differently though. I will give positive feedback for each comic or novel that I read even if I did not subscribe to show my support.
@julipow I liked your novel because the angels described well and their behavior makes each one a likable character. Furthermore, I found your story relatable because your characters act like humans even though they are beings of a higher power.
@Gramkrackerhan your comics presented realistic situations with a comedic twist. I also really liked your art style.
@Iridium I found Menmar to be a captivating storyline with great use of cultural myths and legends. Your art style was also beautiful with the scenery and people you created.
@Tinkerton your book had a great storyline with clever dialogue that made me want to read more.
Here is my comic for you all to read when you have the chance.
Thank you @julipow for your feedback on my comic and thank you @Tinkerton for all your support to my series.
