@jcmraz Welcome! And yeah, I agree, sub for sub usually ends in dead sub's because people just subscribe to get subscribers and never even give your work a try. It is a bit controversial but I guess if you just want your sub number to rise it can be effective.
Either way, thank you for joining! I will check out your work once I have had time to check out the others. But I will get to it eventually! And thank you! I am glad to hear that!
I'm glad you enjoyed my comic. When I draw my comics, I think of them as old tales that are even older then I am. Told to me in the forms of nightmares. Sorry about the format, I usually make my comics on a laptop, so I did not realize that the presentation was an issue. However, The comics in the third book meet the scrolling functions of Tapas. I'll try to think of some ways to fix the old comics. I read your novel and enjoyed it. Will be giving you feedback shortly.
Thanks for your kind reply. I really did enjoy your story too. I might get a little behind though because suddenly I'm reading three books at a time since yesterday. my comic isn't really slice of life as its usually described. Its just realistic. It is sometimes used to describe similar anime and manga stories so thats why I used it. I'd appreciate. Any feedback you have so thank you very much
So, I was able to read a few chapters of your comic today! First of all, the art style is amazing! It fits the story very well so far and I love how dynamic it appears at times! The lore is amazing as well, I really enjoyed the little bits of introduction to the world. The action right at the beginning is really enjoyable! I love how unique the story is and I am definitely interested in finding out more once I have time. I was already subbed to your comic so I am intending to leave it this way so I can come back to it. Overall, really great comic with a lot of potential!
The next novels/comics I will read will be from @WitheredSage @Tinkerton and @AkaAllanah . Like usually, it probably will take me a few days to go read some chapters but I will get to your stories soon! Once I have some solid feedback for your work, I will leave it here in this thread! Thank you for your patience!
@WitheredSage I was able to read some chapters of your novel finally, so I am going to leave you some feedback now. What I can say from reading the whole first chapter (that was split in four or five episodes I think) is that the pacing is nice and the characters and overall story concept is very interesting! I love the little aspects to mana and explanations you included because it gives the reader more understanding of how this world works! I really love that and the interesting premises and slow but rapid pacing. The only criticism I can think of is that the storyline seems a bit chaotic at times, but that is just something I noticed as a writer, I think it will be unnoticeable for most readers. The other thing I can say is that these chapters are quite long, not just for Tapas standards but also for traditional publishing. Having to split one chapter into four to five parts is okay if it is a long chapter but for the first chapter to be already this long as an introduction for the reader might be something that could scare of some readers. Nevertheless, I personally enjoyed reading it and I am sure you will be able to find loyal readers for your amazing story (be it here on Tapas or elsewhere)! Keep up the great work, you are doijg amazing so far!

Here's my contribution for the Read for Read:
@julipow for Essence of Life: I thought your book was well written as it reads like a song or poem, which matches the style of the biblical story-line nicely. Feedback: Scene description is Heaven a kingdom of clouds like on television shows or is it an open field with modest structures like in the Bible? Is Hell a place of fire like on television or is it a place of fear and darkness like in the bible? As examples. Thank you for your read and feedback.
@dsptss78 for Dan: My opinion on your comic is that it had nice art and character design/emotions. However, I think you could improve your story-line by adding more drama between the action and violence.
@HopefulAttempt for When Souls Awaken: My thoughts on your novel is that you have great description, characters, and emotions for your story-line. I really enjoyed how the story began with small stories that make one big adventure. The only feedback I have for you is minimal. I saw that in the description for certain chapters you were promoting the YouTube and Twitch channels for your book when doing so you can include links in the description of those chapters for people to copy and past to find those promotional sites more easily. Keep up the great work and I'm excited to read more!
@Tinkerton for Tragic: I found your story to be relatable as I too was an outcast in school and only had a few friends and that was also in a small town. Beck's narration was also well done as I often feel how she thinks. The only feedback I have for you is that there were a few typos, which is an easy fix just proofread before publishing. Other than that, I am excited to see what happens next in your story-line with each of your characters. Thank you for reading and subscribing to my work as well.
@WitheredSage for Rising Fire: In your book you describe your supernatural world and powers in an easy to understand way. The wording in your story was also well-done. The only feedback I have for you is that there were a few typos, which is an easy fix just proofread before publishing.
Here is my comic if you want to read my work.
Thank you all.
@ScaryTerry
Thanks so much for the feedback! I will be going back through and proofreading my chapters. I appreciate you taking the time to read my series and I hope you continue to enjoy it! đź–¤
Thank you for your critique. I do like your art style, kind of reminds me of the old-school comic strips like Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes. The plot is pretty creative however there are a few things I will suggest for improvement. To make the characters pop out more I would suggest implementing shading Maybe on the clothes or face that way it doesn't get to confusing when you have multiple characters in one panel. You can do this through inking or light to heavy cross hatching. As for the dialogue, I would recommend better spacing between words so it doesn't feel too clumped together. However, if you consider going digital then typing up the dialogue would make things easier for you. Overall your comic has a lot of potential.
@Tinkerton I was finally able to read enough chapters of your novel to have a solid opinion. First of all, I absolutely love the tragic feeling of your storytelling, you know very well how to write a story that is captivating! The overall plot is good at a slow but a moderate pace, so I think you are doing really well! I love the characters and the way you introduce them, you really have talent for introducing characters so seamlessly! I really don't have anything I could criticize aside from a few minor spelling mistakes everyone makes. But that is an easy fix really! Sadly, romance really isn't a genre I enjoy a lot, so I didn't sub just because of that. But! I really enjoyed reading the chapters I was able to! Keep up the amazing work, you are doing a great job with your story so far!
Good day! This a really cool promotion idea. I will definitely give your work a try. I will share my new novel. There's 10 episodes out as of today. It's still in the prologue stages though, and the main story has not started as yet.
I've never really thought about what I love about my novel, but I am a bit excited about my worldbuilding, even if it's not the best. My work will eventually revolve around dimension travel so I have to create many worlds. It's a fun experience, even though I may fall short. I also really like the morals and lessons incorporated into my novel. I would really love feedback or anything really. Please do check it out if you would like to. Hope you enjoy if you do!
Genres: Fantasy/Supernatural, Action, LGBTQ+, Post-Apocalyptic Fiction
I just understand this read-to-read concept after joined Tapas discord. It's really are better than sub for sub.
I'm new, and you never know until you try everything. Lol
Anyway, I have 2 comics ongoing, please feel free to choose one of them or both!

GUARTH (Guardians Of The Arthe)
This one fantasy, a little bit of mystery, and sci-fi. I put it under sci-fi because it will involve controversial theories about how the world and humans form. If you are a religious person, you might find the theory disturbing and you need to remember this is Science-fiction. Lol
The story starts with a girl, named Judith, who is 18 years old in 2020. She keeps dreaming of a scene where little Judith having a brother, but it's from 1970! Judith trying to solve the mystery and found more than she ever imagines.
This story is my first complicated story that I think will be cool to make a movie out of it.

My Last Life
This one is fantasy-romance. It's a light dreamy story involve heart-breaking, time-traveling, friendship, and of course true love.People might misunderstand that this is a harem because of the cover, but it is NOT! let me know what do you think.
Before sleep, I always read, and a love story is one of my fav. since it will not give me a bad dream, easy-going, and dreamy good-looking characters. perfect!
Anyway, I will read yours soon. Please feel free for anyone in this thread who wants read-to-read with me. Just mention me, so I will know.
@AkaAllanah I think I read enough to already have a solid opinion on your comic, the prologue was more than enough to hook me up and pull me into your story! First of all, I really really love the concept and friendship build up that is happening in your comic. It is such a sweet tragic story already and I feel like it will only get better! The story telling is just right, there is so much build up in the prologue alone already that I am really excited to read more! I honestly don't have anything to criticize on. I absolutely love the feeling of your comic and while I usually don't read this type of genre/story, I definitely find myself enjoying it!
I will continue reading your comic and follow along this journey to see where it will lead you. Overall, it's an really amazing work already and I personally love it a lot!
The next novels/comics I will check out are from @jcmraz @ruqi @Utamee and @JoshRaid ! Thank you all for joining! It will take me a while to get around to reading your work because I am going to be very busy this upcoming week, but I will get to it eventually.
If you wish to receive some feedback from me in this thread, please let me know! Thank you and have a nice rest of your week everyone!
@julipow Don't worry take your time. I'm super busy this week too, I will read yours soon I have free time. .
Yes, I would love feedback.
Aw thanks so much for the kind comments
I'm really glad you've enjoyed it so far and just with the prologue which I've been meaning to expand on. I originally wrote it as a novel so I did have a bit more in the prologue that I cut for the sake of continuing into the story but developed the two of them more. I hope you like the rest of the story too
@jcmraz So, I finally had time to have a look at your comic! First of all, I really love your art style, it fits the comic so well and goes well with the story! I also love the whole concept of it, it's really interesting to start with action right away! I really enjoyed reading the episodes I was able to!
Just a few things I noticed that might could be improved: The one page episodes for me personally are a bit too short, I know a lot of comic creators decide to only post one page per episode so they can keep a weekly update schedule but it for me it disrupts the story flow a lot and can hinder people from enjoying to binge read it. Of course, that could just be my personal preference so no worries! Everyone has different taste!
The other thing I noticed is that 50 pages aka almost 50 episodes for Chapter 0 so basically the prologue/introduction/start of the story is A LOT. I haven't seen any web/traditional published comic with such a long Chapter 0 and I think it would be beneficial if you cut it down a bit or split this long chapter into multiple chapters. But again, that could be just my personal preference. Either way, I really loved your comic and I am sure you are going to gain plenty more supporters for such an unique and amazing story! Keep up the good work, you are doing amazing!
Hi here is my work :
https://tapas.io/series/Mermaids-ffxiv (3/5 ep out) new ep tomorrow
https://tapas.io/series/Sniflheim-civil-war (4/14 ep out) new ep in 2h
https://tapas.io/series/The-Strange-Visitor/ new ep tomorrow
lol yeah I do the pages in part because I would only be able to upload like 2 or 3 times a year if I didn't XP but also because the dream is for print and I enjoy the page format more personally. Definitely different strokes though and I have done a short scrolling comic on webtoons once before And yeahh I know haha I went way overboard on that and didnt realize until it was too late XD So I worked to finish that up and prepare for moving forward. I jumped in before I was ready to avoid getting stuck in revision hell lol Chapter 1 will be 14-17 pages long and I've got a much better control on pace than I did at the start. That's actually a thing I keep in mind at all times when writing moving passed chapter 0. The whole chapter 0 should have been condensed to maybe 20 pages. I agree entirely with you on that!
Thank you so much for reading and giving your thoughts! I hope you're right lol
Sorry for the wait @julipow and @Tinkerton, but I will be completing my participation in the read for read this week and should have my reviews together by Sunday.
@julipow, HI there, just finished read your book. Really cool, I genuinely support the story to be made as a movie or cartoon. The character's seem fun. Sorry, took me this long, I just have the time to breath now.
Hi there! I read a couple chapters of your novel and left you a comment. I would read more, but I don't have much free time for the next several days. What I did read I really enjoyed so I will return to read more when I can ^_^
Here is my passion project I have been trying to gain a following for while I work on the comic counterpart.
I love the psychological struggle that my MC goes through and the way his character develops throughout the series physically and mentally. And I also love the romantic relationship of him and his partner as it is going to be based heavily on trust and support.
Genre: romance, fantasy, drama. A slowburn with supernatural twists.
@Stargazer31 @bulletcrucifixion @techstylesstudio @ZakuraTheFungi Welcome! Thank you for joining in this thread! So far, I am still busy checking out the others stories but once I am done with these I will have a look at your works!
Thank you for your patience and have a nice day everyone!
Hello, here are my reviews for the read for read. I want to do my feedback differently though. I will give positive feedback for each comic or novel that I read even if I did not subscribe to show my support.
@julipow I liked your novel because the angels described well and their behavior makes each one a likable character. Furthermore, I found your story relatable because your characters act like humans even though they are beings of a higher power.
@Gramkrackerhan your comics presented realistic situations with a comedic twist. I also really liked your art style.
@Iridium I found Menmar to be a captivating storyline with great use of cultural myths and legends. Your art style was also beautiful with the scenery and people you created.
@Tinkerton your book had a great storyline with clever dialogue that made me want to read more.
Here is my comic for you all to read when you have the chance.
Thank you @julipow for your feedback on my comic and thank you @Tinkerton for all your support to my series.
Hello everyone. I will be honest here. If we new creators want to grow in this platform we have to help each other. So I propose we do this:
1. Read a minimum of a two chapters from each of our work
2. Leave a comment saying what we liked or not
3. If possible then sub to that work. I am a slow reader but will definitely read everyone's work (Those who replies) I will also sub back to those who sub to me
Thank you 3.0
@Utamee I finally had enough time to properly read both of your comics. First of all, I love both of these stories, the idea and premises is very interesting and leaves me curious to what happens next! There were a few spelling/grammar mistakes but it didn't change the reading experience for me! I think your art style fits the stories pretty well and I am sure you can improve more throughout the stories! Overall, I really enjoyed reading both comics! I am sure you will be able to gain more support for your amazing work in the future. Keep up the good work!
