I've read this with friends in call just to make sense of things, but other than the really nice art and an apparent battle-royale/magic school theme, I'm not making too much sense of it. Seems like it's based off a webnovel, and there's a team of 2 artists that are adapting it to webtoons format.

Either way, I'd like to showcase its' amazing art!

I only read up until the 3rd series. And the third one, I suffered the horror of MTL. What about it doesn't make sense though?

The series is connected. The 2nd series took place 10k years after the first one iirc. And the MC's of series 2 and 3 is the descendant of the first generation group. Unsure of the 4th one. It's the first I saw there's a 4th one 🤣

Based on the look though, the black haired kid seems to be more related to mc of 2nd series.

First one is just Douluo Dalu
Second one is Unrivaled Tang Sect
Then Comes Douluo Dalu 2.5 - Legend of the Divine Realm
After that is The Legend of Dragon King.

Apart from this, the MC of Douluo Dalu plays a role in Heavenly Jewel Change, and Divine Throne (Shen Yin Wang Zuo) also has connections to Douluo Dalu
