Recommend me some series to read, please C:

Seems like most of series in my reading list stopped uploading or are on hiatus, so I need something new to read! ( :

I don't really mind a genre, I enjoy reading almost anything as long as the story is good- be it fantasy, action, sci-fi, romance, slice of life or a horror (though I have a think for really cuddly characters or really creepy ones. Give me stalker/obsessive characters and I'm bought. But it's not a must : D). Gag series are okay as well.
Same with the style, I'm not really picky with that.

Now, I'm looking for series that:
- update once a week or more often: because I have a memory of a goldfish and tend to forget what happened in previous episodes if it was updated longer than a week ago
- are ongoing
- have quite nice reader-author interaction : because this is what I love about webcomics. I understand that when there are 50 comments, author might not reply to all of them, that's okay. But if there are only two comments, and author doesn't react to them for months, it makes me feel like (s)he doesn't really care- so why would I.

This is all that comes to my mind right now that I might be more picky about cx

You are one of the lucky few that cleared up their reading list!
Seems impossible for me but one day... One day...

If you have time you can check my series Shades Of Men. I think it is quite original.
It takes place in modern Paris and follows homeless guys as they try to help a kid.
It's definitely on-going and I will reach half way by December.

I try to reply to everyone and share the story with as many people as possible.
Being active is key to success webcomics!

I update as much as i can so most days.
the story is quite dark in places but everything leads to something else so yes the story is on going
and I promise the characters get better as time goes on

and I always reply to feed back

Well you're up to date with every series.
That's always nice.
Now you'll need to keep them in mind! It's hard to remember details of the plot with series on hiatus.

I know that feeling, most of my reading list seems to be on hiatus as well >< even going trough my list it's hard to find ones that aren't already well know in the forums that update consistently.

I'll at the least recommend what I'm working on right now. It's ongoing, updates daily and though I'm not the greatest at reader interaction I have been trying to work on it. (I read every comment and like them, I just can't often think of anything to say) No Future if you are interested.

I would definitely recommend Jupiter and City of Blank.

Jupiter usually updates several pages a week, and is probably my favorite webcomic right now. It's Sci-fi. Very good writing and well done art.

I'm not sure how often City of Blank updates (the author is in the middle of moving right now, so updates are a little bit late), but it has a decent amount of world and story building so far, and I'm really enjoying it! Not sure about the genre, author has it listed as "action", it definitely has some fantasy/sci-fi elements to it.

In addition, I'll recommend Stop Looking at All Those Stars (which is kind of vaguely similar to gag-a-day, but with a sort of mind-screwy, sci-fi twist), and you know, my comic, Crow Summer, (which is a drama/urban fantasy about student vampire hunters and which is brand new, but updates once a week).

Boulder and Fleet: Adventurers for Hire updates once a week, and is one of the cutest comics on Tapastic! I highly recommend you check it out - it's got friendly polar bears, fast-talking canaries, an entire magical girl squad based on various minerals, AND hippos doing Iron Chef-style eating competitions.

Seriously. I will keep plugging this comic until it gets the number of subscribers it deserves.

You can check U-Speed if you want. After getting sick last October I wasn't able to update that month. But i'm pushing this month to make more pages in order to make up for October. I do treat my readers well and make sure to reply as early as possible.

You should totally read A LEGEND (of some sort) - it is a fantasy comedy adventure, riffing off Zelda and its ilk!

I really suggest checking out the following:

Creep - Riley, a quiet teen, gains strange powers after a fruit punch related accident. With the help of his over enthusiastic best friend he reluctantly becomes a superhero.
Hunter Black - Harboiled fantasy, that centers around a badass dude who wields a life-force sucking sword and is followed around by what I can only describe as Danny DiVito the ghost. Lot's of adventures, updates MUTLIPLE pages a week and it's hella fun.
Tethered - A young woman and a medical droid travel up a war-torn dystopian Britain in search of family… but with formidable airborne gas-bombers, dangerous scavengers and desperate survivors at every turn, it will be a journey not easily made.
Suihira - Akia is a nearly forgotten water-goddess in a desert world. Wahida desperately wants to prove herself worthy of entering Akia's sacred city Suihira, but the known-world is a global desert and it's hard to be devoted to a water goddess when you're surrounded by nothing but sand.
Alone - Wonderful, poigniant romance that doesn't lean on the sap, and has a very real life quality to it. The story follows a widower and a coffeeshop owner as they find each other and love one another. Really wonderful storytelling here.

And then there's always the work that my team and I make, Kamikaze.

We've got over 100 pages worth of story (and one off shoot story). Updates weekly on wednesdays! In a desolate future, feudal corporations hoard the last patches of fertile crop land. A young courier is unwittingly thrown into a life or death game of espionage and sabotage from which she may never escape.
