So the story so far has a hook to it because I want to know the deal with the girl who presents a little mystery, but I feel like the art is setting maybe the wrong tone because it is so simplified. It comes off as more of a style for a gag comic than a more serious fantasy adventure. The backgrounds especially need some detail and perspective to ground them into a setting. I think going in and adjusting the character designs to include things like hands and adding even more details to the hair and paying more care to folds of the clothing will make it feel more like a high fantasy.
Also, as someone who has text about the same size as you and is currently trying to resize all of it--I'd go much bigger on the text now rather than wait until you're farther in. Also, I personally love footnotes in the margins all sideways in books, but in mobile and in browser you have to move your head instead of the screen to read it, so I'd put the footnotes on the bottom of the page instead (if you decide to keep them, at all)
But you've done a lot of work so far! You should be proud of it!
And hello, welcome to the forums, I was on this site for over a year before I found out they existed, too, so you're not alone
