Revamped My Art style Mid-Series. Was That Okay to do?/Is the new art style better? Need Advice!

I prefer to do Traditional comics, and for a while, I've felt that the old way I used to do my art style was too rough around the edges, so I decided to buckle down and completely change the art style into something more "Visually pleasing" which I have done.

So now my concern is, was it a professional move to change it mid-series, five chapters in? I'm fully aware that at some point, I'll likely have to redo the past chapters to the current art style, but is that something I should focus on now or just leave it and continue?
(Again, I work in the traditional format, so putting things on pause to redo those five chapters will take quite some time...)

Also, I wanted some opinions on if the NEW art style is better than the old one.

Honestly, the art style evolution is part of the main appeal of webcomics, plus the new style is so much more detailed. I wouldn’t worry too much, it looks great

That just looks like normal art revolution to me (very nice work btw!) And it's expected for a web comic's art to change over time, you really don't need too worry too much about it. I feel like we as artists are more likely to notice inconsistencies with our work, but readers are here to read your comic regardless, seeing your art change is cool!

It's normal to evolve and improve in your art, happens to literally all of us. Even to the pro's. Compare chapter 1 of Berserk to the most recent one Kento Muira drew, there's a massive difference.

I'll offer myself as an example, these are my main characters first panels

And these are them in the most recently published ones

There's only a roughley 2-ish year difference between them and there's already a noticable evolution!

And yes, I do think your new style is an impovement, keep it up!

I did it with mine in That Stick Figure Isekai and came up with a funny plot reason lol. Mainly to make the artstyle more appealing to Tapas fans.

One of the best things about reading webcomics,manga etc is seeing how much the artist improved. Best part is you’ll improve more and more.
