Maybe it is a bit too late for a reply, but a point I do find worth bringing is that stories tagged as LGBT have a wider audience appeal. Nimona and Lumberjanes are examples of "all-ages LGBT comics". On the other hand, you can't market a comic as an "all-ages Girl's Love" or a "general audiences Boy's Love" and certainly not a "Yaoi for kids".
