Maybe it is a bit too late for a reply, but a point I do find worth bringing is that stories tagged as LGBT have a wider audience appeal. Nimona and Lumberjanes are examples of "all-ages LGBT comics". On the other hand, you can't market a comic as an "all-ages Girl's Love" or a "general audiences Bo…
Unless you add screentones on the black and white version, it will hardly work nearly as well as the colored version.
Don't have any comics out there yet, but felt compelled to show up on this thread nevertheless. I am primarily a traditional artist, which is the epitome of someone who only works in one layer. Even so, when I make art digitally, I end up with lots and lots of drawing layers. I believe a project I a…
Did a couple more explorations, taking into consideration everything you guys mentioned. Honestly, Eucarya looks much more interesting with proper feet, so I believe she will do so from now on. Thanks so much, guys. [image]
Yeah, I think I'm gonna give her actual feet. Or at least, stylized feet that still have fingers. I'm trying out different stylizations to see what works. Will likely post the final results in this thread once I'm finished. As for your other points: Before designing Eucarya, I researched how pe…
Oh, thanks so much! You have good points, and I will make sure to take all of them into consideration moving foward.
I am certainly considering that. Maybe what they did for princess Aurora in the Sleeping Beauty movie? There are endless possibilities. I will make sure to test at least a few, and try to go overboard with the sketches I make from now on.
Hey, thanks so much, I will certainly check it out! You are really kind! I will think about tiny feet, but I could certainly make them rounder. As for the texture, I used a noise filter on krita.
A) Don't worry about being abrasive. I know you mean well. B)I can draw feet. I'm not amazing at it, but I can draw them. [image] Talk about a sketch that went a little too far. C) I asked around before posting this, and people said she would be a cutter character if I simplified the feet. As y…
Hey. Could someone lend me some advice on the design I made for the main character of my comic? I am already satisfied with it, but some input would be more than welcome (by the way, some of these drawings may be a bit too sketchy, but bear with me). [image] This one is the final pass. Also, that…
Looks great. My only problem with it would be the title font's color. If it was yellow or orange, it would likely pop to the eye a bit more. Because it is this purple in a purple background, it fades a little bit and becomes a bit hard to read.
Sorry man, but this guy's smile and eyes just rub me the wrong way. Also, the way his legs are linked to the rest of the body feels strange. I am unsure if it was your intention, but the character looks very doll-like, and his breasts are falling all over, which is not common for a man unless he's w…
That is also a great idea! Considering that the mental image E (and therefore the readers) has of S is totally different from who he actually is, I believe I could make it work. All I have to do is make sure I remove him enough of the characteristics that the other characters associated with the Big…
I will probably stay awake at night trying to find out the answer to that question. Until then, have a cookie as my reward for your enlightening words.
I am not positive if this is the proper place to ask that, but really, I could use some advice. I recently stumbled upon a crossroads after I started writing the script for my 18 episodes webcomic project. That is, I have two possible storylines. Each could work well for two very different comics…
Hey! I don't have enough context to understand what you are trying to do here, so I will go on a loop and assume this is not supposed to be an establishing shot. So here are a few suggestions: Put some more spacing between panels. It doesn't have to be much, just a little. It helps to give the im…
Thanks so much! I worked hard for it, and I am in love with your art style as well!
I was not expecting to get so much solid advice, especially from someone as experienced and successful as you and Yulek! Thanks so much, I really appreciate you and everyone who took the time to help me out!
Hi! I have zero to no experience making webcomics (the only one I ever did was a four or five-episode mini-series for Webtoon contest) and currently facing a dilemma. I have two comic ideas fighting each other in my head and can't decide which one I should do first. I would genuinely appreciate you…
