Separate chapters or one at a time

When you write a chapter, do you just write it as one chapter and release it one at a time, or do you write one larger chapter and then split it up into multiple releases? I've been doing the former for the last several months, but i often consider the ladder so that I can release more often to boost views.

I usually break them up because they exceed Tapas’ 15k character limit. If I write a chapter that is under that limit I’ll do the whole thing in one update and upload it on my usual Mondays. If it’s broken into two, I’ll do a Monday and a Wednesday. If it exceeds 30k I’ll either try to clip it, add the end into the beginning of the next one, or I’ll do three updates that week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).

Well, as someone with a comic rather than novel, I do say that uploading per chapter here on Tapas works better because then the chapter is all together and it's easier to scroll through it. However on other sites like web tunes or comic fury, page by page or small chunks works better because you have to click through them anyways.
