Here's an underground dwarf city from "Dear Departed" and some grass and rock from "Wildflowers" which is based on a fanfiction "Proverbs of Hell and Wildflowers" written by Realfakedoors.

Ignore the people, they are blocking the background in this case.

The houses of my novel's two main characters

Thanks. I looked up old-fashioned houses and mansions and used them as models

Backgrounds are truly my weakness :sob: Someday I hope to be able to make the pretty watercolor-style backgrounds (there's a bunch of them on this thread and I loooooove them!!) But until then I'll just be abusing my line-tool lol

(This is an abandoned motel)

Ok, I'll share one that's kinda cool and one I'm sick of. One of my main characters has a vivid flashback for on him of a previous adventure when he's transported to an alternative version of Seoul where he's just an average middle manger. He has his first encounter with the apartment that he's somehow how supposed to be living in.

The other one is a simple texture I created (using a old toothbrush and some ink (it was popular technique used by Klaus Janson) to imply a light gradient. It saves me time to just paste it in. It wouldn't be annoying but there are THREE WHOLE CHAPTERS where all the action happens under a streetlight near Alexandria Minnesota! Who wrote this sh*t?! oh it me. I wrote this sh*t.

It helps to bend the perspective a little bit.

Here's from the recent chapter.

Testing out my cg reference model for Ch03's new setting.

(Note that in the final product the background will be drawn over in 2D to match the characters. It will not look like this)

thanks. I wanted to give the building a ominous look in relationship to the character. I had to cheat the perspective a bit but the treeline hides the transition.

I'm not really a background artist I do what I can!

I hate perspective so much
