Share your creatures!

I've been playing the beta for Monster Hunter World recently and thought about how the Monster Hunter series inspires me to get into creature design. This game is great, I've been a fan since 3.

What are some of your creatures that you made? Share some art work or some info.
If you just want to talk, that's cool too.

Well, it's not really monster hunter - esque and more relative to horror or dark fantasy but here goes :

This is an old concept for the inner beast inside Draan (it's from 2007 ok don't judge too much on the drawing quality xD it's basically an old syberian weretiger that is psychopatic and funny at times, Draan has to fight him at some point to keep control of himself in certain situations )

Now, that is pretty close to a face hugger, right ? You wouldn't be far away, it's actually a mid level possessing demon that glues to your face, and melt it down so the actual "undead spirit" encased into this thing possess and actually steal your body (your head fall off or is slowly eaten by the thing to replace it. that's pretty gruesome. sorry ^^

Another very old drawing with some undeads concept going on :

This one is a pretty massive / huge "death eagle" that has been corrupted with Talleum (ferrorum ex mortis) it fused with undead orcs as reinforcement for it's wings. it's thoraciq / sternum cage is a huge talleum blade and he has talleum bits here and there in his "face" :

Also orcs vertebrae has been used by this creature to reinforce it's own shoulders, it's said that he was wounded there pretty hard by former mercenaries trying to kill it, but it regenerated stronger from it's wounds. (they tried to cut off his wings)

These are very nice, it doesn't have to Monster Hunter related just any creature.

Guess I'll share some. Got some sea creatures I made.

This creature is called 'Sorrow" and is the first big monster the main character of my comic takes down! He's made of this gross, slimy paper substance, and his head, hands, and chest are madeof a thick, dense bone. After being defeated, it's chosen to offer itself to Landon as a weapon, known as the "Hammer of Sorrow" and shares a deep personal connection with Landon since it can feel how strong the sorrow inside him is.

My universe has plenty of demons and angels in it.
Angels tend to look intimidating but not necessarily horrifying. Demons on the other hand can vary greatly in appearance. I've got a bit of a lovecraftian vibe in my fictional universe so...

Viktor has an ordinary skin but his body is made up of a mass of ever-morphing blackened forms below the surface. Shamelessly Lovecraft/Ito, I know. He's spooky.

Molara is essentially a spider woman. She has a total of 6 arms (4 of which can be hidden by a cloaking spell) and her body is deformed and covered in eyes when she uses her tracking magic. She was a normal human being until she unwittingly consumed an imp - a very weak and small shapeshifting demon who acts as a witch's pet.

And that's Tiffany. She's a lesbian skeleton pyromancer, and a cheerleader. I adore her. She's actually Molara's love interest. Her little shirt slogan actually changes according to how she feels. She has a deep and hissy demonic voice but is a very typical teenager so it sounds really odd.

I don't have a lot of experience with creature design, but it's something I'm very interested in improving. Here's one I did quite a while ago that I actually like.

And here's a cool generator that I've found really helpful in practicing. I use the site for all kinds of concept art ideas, not just creatures.

There pretty reminiscent of creatures from medieval mythology. Pretty nice.

older version / prototype of my webcomic ( 2006 - 2007 ) with the weretiger / inner beast creature and it was pretty popular on a platform called manolosanctis back in the day ^^

The thing was changing it's appearance as it changed it's mood and there are a few creatures here and there in it : (drawing is not very very good ok i was not as "right" with my characters and stuff at the time i look at it and cringe now ... )

In my comic All Broken Gods there's a type of creature called demons, although not really a race but any living being under a specific curse. They mostly look lizard or bird like with an exception of some that are more humanoid or more bizarre and deformed.

These creatures don't really have a name outside of shadow people. They are morally ambiguous and resemble hallucinations.

Cacophony is another creature and is similar to the shadow people though he is more kinder and compassionate.

Thetas are ghost like entities that are the consciousness of the people they came from but with all positive attributes removed leaving an unstable and miserable form.

Anguist is a large snake like creature was once something else but the need for power led to them taking this form

Another group of nameless creatures, all their forms corrupted by a magic that was used by the main antagonist of the first part of the series.
