Here's a really unpopular one: Beyonce is totally ruined for me. I don't have anything against her, mind you, but I can't really get into her because of her fans. To them, she's practically Jesus resurrected. Like she's the perfect being all across time and space. Ugh. It irritates me to the point that I can't even stand to listen to ANY of her songs.

I don't listen to much pop music in general, but I definitely feel you on this one. It makes me uncomfortable when any single person is lavished with so much praise, especially when their contribution to society is "talented entertainer."

If you love your group, you have less love for people outside that group. if you have a great lust for life, then you're always on the edge of giving in to greed and gluttony. I dislike Japanese coulture. I like parts of their coulture, but people acting like it's some amazing holy land is so grating to me. Like between the financial pressure made by the frigging government for women to stay at home and have babies (there are other sources, I found this one just be the most interestingly written. But it's a well known fact that literally no one knows about for some reason), Or their "scientific whaling", Pretty extreme racism, coulture of shame & stigmatism, I'm just like...Yea I like the art and I'm sure most of the people are nice but man. I also found most of the women in TLJ to be annoying. If your female character is strong and intelligent because all the men are weak and stupid then your female character is neither strong nor intelligent. Someone should send Rian Johnson the memo.

Also, I wish people would stop acting like Kelly Marie Tran wasn't a throwaway diversity hire.

That'd be one way of putting it. There are certain beaches where it's permitted, or at least, no one seems to mind. (I recall being a young man enjoying it quite a bit actually). But in a general sense, I don't think it's appropriate for women to walk topless down a street, no. At the same time, there are many places where it's not appropriate for men to do it either, although that's for different reasons.

I think context is what makes something appropriate or inappropriate. For example, dancing in a party, or in dance classes is okay, but dancing in someone`s grave......not so much.
Every context demands a different mood or attitude.

For the love of christ you were hired to teach first aid, stop whining about Trump. The poor American dude in my class must be so sick of "HYURK, you came to Canada to escape Trump didn't you LOLZ", after stating he arrived in the 90's. Our English and life skills teacher also did this despite acknowledging and actually teaching us in the course material that it is taboo to talk openly about politics in Canada (they are hired to help immigrants adjust to the local culture.) It has everything to do with culture and social norms. Rules are put in place and reenforced over many years and that what defines things. Attitudes can however shift over time.

I'm honestly all for women who want to go topless. However, I'm worried more about the tween and teen girls. Some men are creeps and we don't want them to be all predatory to minors.

I'm sure there's someone somewhere who's broken it all down bit by bit and figured out reasons why we do some things one way or other things another way, but yeah, I doubt I could explain it properly all here, but I'll have a little stab.

I get that the female body is a normal, natural thing, but then again, so is me jerking off. I don't think I ought to have the right to jerk off though, even in my own home, if I happen to be standing in front of a window facing out to the street.

So yeah, exposing your naked breasts to the street is exposing a sexual part of the body to the public, even though it's obviously nowhere near in the same ball park as jerking off in public, it's sexual enough that society on a whole has deemed it taboo in most places.

Personally, I'd be willing to bet $1000 bucks that the ideas behind things like slut walks were born out of thirsty male brains.

Slut walks were invented to bring light to sexual abuse and rape. The reason why it is called "slut walk" is because people tend to slut shame women who were rape saying things like "you should not have been dressing like a slut". Yeah sure I guess it was born from " thirsty male brains", because they were the ones who decided to rape in the first place.
