All I know is I was SO SHOCKED that a Pixar movie won best animated.

Srsly, this video pops into my head when I found out Leonardo won Best Actor. I was watching this a few days prior the Oscars. Then he won.

@VermillionWorks But they didn't win best animated short which I thought was a sure win! I'm actually pretty pleased about the animation category this year though, the nominations were diverse (in content and style) and Inside Out is not a bad movie to lose to at all.

Haven't managed to sit down and watch the full ceremony yet but pretty confident I'll cry at some point (definitely at Gaga's performance, possibly from someone's speech).

UPDATE: Saw it, cried, but what happened to the production this year? Last year had excellent production value and directing.

My partner actually woke me up at 5am after checking twitter (he woke up with low blood sugar) to tell me that Leo won an oscar, I lazily cheered and fell back to sleep thinking it was part of the dream.

The year Hugh Jackman hosted I went to watch the stars arrive – and almost got shoved through a fence when George Clooney showed up! Seriously, it was like a wave of bodies.
