This is where discussions about novels should go. Whether you're writing them, reading them, or have a novel-related question, this is the place to put it.

This is simple and well used! Take a sentence and/or scene from your novel, and post it with absolutely no context!!! Make it funny, make it weird, make it down right uncomfortable!! It's all up to you!!! Please do be nice to each other, and just plain old have fun!!!!! Also, don't forget to site your work!

Now, let's start!!!!

The flashlight took its last few flickers before Ada was plunged into darkness. "OH MY GOD IT'S HAPPENING!!" Ada screeched like a fangirl who was about to meet her celebrity crush.

“Show me you aren’t lying,” I growled, brows furrowed in a mix of concern and distrust.
“Good idea, that should help air out all the tension in the room!” She happily exclaimed. If she could only see the images of her limp body in my mind, I wondered if she would still be as cheerful.

"How long ago was your birthday?"
"Are you trying to find out my zodiac to check our combability?" tall blonde smirked as he leaned down
"Don't be dumb" Dawn mumbled and started walking fast
"Classroom is on the other side" she could hear Cal laughing

"Is cereal a soup?"
Adrian stared at her confused
"W....what did you just ask?"
"Is cereal a soup" she repeated hoping to get positive reaction

I need to warn you, despite this scenes, this novel is mostly fantasy drama

Still taking in large breaths, Will lunged towards the boat and threw his arms around the edge. Elise removed his mask and cupped his cheeks in her hands. Her voice was firm and calming. “What happened?”

Will’s eyes focused on Elise. He sputtered the ominous words, feeling it take a life of its own.

“T-There’s a-a dead bo-body.”

“That’s cool. Hey, don’t arrest me if you catch me speeding.” Sandra winked.

“Ah of course I won’t-” Thomas caught himself. “I mean I will arrest you-”

Blundering over his words, Thomas’s ears turned red when he caught Sandra holding back her laughter. “I-I meant..”

“It’s alright. I’m just kidding,” Sandra chuckled. He was cute like this, and so fun to tease.

Preview for a future episode!

“Does she see him as a father figure? A caretaker?” Viktor attempted to convey through his facial expressions, his eyebrows raising and lowering with each word.
“Just presume family, don’t make it weird!!” Varna’s flustered face appeared to convey as her blinks became more rapid as her eyes remained widened with her panic.

"Tiamat was relieved, thinking things would be resolved peacefully, now. Unfortunately, this is a prime example of why it’s often a good idea to ask clarifying questions."

“Just doing things you wanna do!” she replied with a grin. “It’s like you said: we might die tomorrow. Would you rather kiss someone while you can, or lose them and never know what it feels like?”

“Counterpoint: if I lost y--” Olivia paused, correcting herself, “whoever, I’d probably be sadder if we’d kissed.”

“But you’d live on after that wishing you’d kissed me.” Rachel winked. “Or whoever. Alternatively, if you’re the one who dies, you could become a ghost and haunt Walder forever because of the unfinished business.”

Olivia scoffed. “Oh, so ghosts are real, too?”

Corvus’s hand shot up, he wasn’t done, and everyone groaned. “Follow up question. Are we authorized to kill T.O.T.O if it’s evil?”

“No Corvus because it’s a robot and it can’t be evil. And stop calling it T.O.T.O, I’m not listening to that all mission.”

“Then why’d you tell me the full name, you know I can’t leave an acronym alone. I mean it was right there, we all saw it!” He looked at Dorothy and Feral for confirmation. He didn’t get it but continued on regardless. “And robots are always evil, they start out neutral, develop a hate for humanity, and then BAMB the whole species gotta go. It’s just a science fact.”

“I’m sure the Farm would’ve put fail safes in for something like that.” Said Dorothy attempting to bring the conversation to a close before Nic popped a blood vessel.

“Why would you say that!” Exclaimed Corvus. Nope this wasn’t over. “It’s like you want it to kill us in our sleep. What’s next you want to split up and look for clues or go find some hunky camp counselor to hook up with in a haunted house? Major movie sin Dorth, I thought I taught you better.”

In the near distance he noticed something poking out from behind a rusty green garbage bin. There was a thin, white tail, wiggling from side to side. He walked slow, lifting up his gun. Though it seemed small, and was probably only a stray animal, he could never be too prepared. As he neared the dumpster the animal behind it jumped out at him, startled. Ari jumped back, pointing his gun but soon noticed it was nothing but a stray dog, looking for a meal.

“I can protect myself!” Peyton said, offended.
“You sure about that? Did we not just save you while you were probably shitting your pants in that car?”

After putting it up here I feel like it's a little dirtier than I thought.

“Take it out,” knowing nothing could help him, Tomobi went to take it out. As it left him his body calmed itself as if losing a piece of himself he never knew he had.

When we're done, we'll enjoy your flesh like a well-seasoned rotisserie chicken.

“Heeeeyyy, man, that was a hell of a show you lot put on there! Especially the female, she’s pretty cool!”

“Oh, who, her? Yeah, she’s new to Dirty Diamond. Doesn’t even have a proper stage name yet.”

“She’s still super cool, can I, like, have her number?”

“No.” I sharply interject, not even turning around to dignify his inquiry. My eyes turn back to where Sard was, to find that he’s now sitting next to the two blonds I noticed earlier, trying to chat them up with limited success. I focus on watching him, morbidly curious at how strong his charisma really shined.

This next one comes from one of the first chapters:

Doing another pass of the area around me, I stop by a dumpster. It would be embarrassing as hell, but nobody would think to look into a dumpster for a helpless victim, right? I open the dumpster, take one whiff of the contents, and—revolted and coughing—strike that idea down from my internal list… And then drop it into a paper-shredder for good measure. So, that idea was out. What next?

Mhehevion’s eyes gleamed in that very way Vandrake knew was his valet wanting to go on a murder spree.

Underneath that exterior of calm, the Duke heard Mhehevion roar- whatever the man must have experienced at the gates of that Northern Bastard definitely ended up rubbing him the wrong way.

Kerry continued her pace as point-man, keeping her rifle barrel downfield. The large control building, still completely dark, slowly grew in size on her screen as they steadily approached. A glint of light flickered and disappeared instantaneously in the distance, quickly catching her attention. What did I just see in that window? “Hold,” she calmly ordered as she stopped in her tracks. She got her first opportunity to utilize a mental command for the system, looking harder at that window and allowing the camera to zoom in, hitting around 20x magnification. I know I saw something- there! she thought as her eyes widened in both anticipation and fear. “Located an active viewfinder on the 4th floor of the main building!’

“Pop it,” Andre flatly and calmly responded, keeping his barrel aimed up towards the opposite wall’s sky.

Pop it? What are they- Sam had no time to finish thinking before the normally ear-splitting ring sent out by a hybridized rifle round.

“Please no p-p-p---” Duenna struggled to get the last word out, both from the stutter she had taken on since partaking of the drink, and moral dilemma, as apparent by her face.

“Pornography? Duenna are you trying to say PORNOGRAPHY?” Agony relished.

“Typical suppression of sexuality.” Thesis shook his head, “likely stemming from internalized sexism and-”

“Aha!” Motif interrupted, “This one! It’s perfect!” He handed it to Duenna who looked as if she had just been handed a large bug. She squinted and squeamishly read the title.

“The Last Murder on Crow’s Road” She read through twisted lips. “Oh no.”

“Oh my GOD I love that one!” Motif gushed.

“You love anything as long as it’s trash.” Duenna scoffed as she took the book from him like it was a piece of used gum.

“Yup!” Motif beamed proudly.

She's an innocent, but mischievous dark fae. She had been sheltered (not intentionally) from things concerning her own body

"Amaltheia, sweetie, what's wrong?"

"I'm not sure, dad. I just feel a strange tightness in my abdomen and then this weird, warm, sticky liquid follows right after and ruins my underwear whenever I look at the king. Is that normal and if so, why is it happening to me?" Amaltheia innocently asked, causing both Lord Conall and Vinca to end up into a fit of coughs, as the rest did not know how to truly react.
