Aikonia on Patreon!
We post the weekly page processes (script, sketch, line art, colours), early page releases, bonus artwork, archive finds, timelapses, and various other exclusive tidbits! Every once in a while, we run polls or special events like adding a patron in the comic as a background character.

I want to do more with my Patreon, but right now I dont have the time- especially with working on my comic & working a RL job. For $1 you get access to early pages and other WIP...for $5 you get a digital copy of one of my many comics. Trying to figure out a new format where I could offer better rewards, but not force me to over work myself...
This topic is important for me because I've been called off of work for a month now (well, since the 22nd) and my bank account nearly (if not already) in the red with at least $300 needed for living expenses (not budgeting for food--this is purely rent and utilities while I hope I can live off the food already in the house). Not an attempt to gain sympathy--just a fact. Well, okay, I am desperate.
So, I have a Fiverr1 where I sell commissions starting at $5 for various services (writing, art, coloring, beta reading/editing, and graphic design).
My Patreon7 is also available if people want to support me long-term, as well as my Ko-Fi1 for is people want to make a simple, one-off payment of support.
I hope it's okay that I included more than just Patreon.
I restarted my Patreon recently. I mostly post about different experiments with software that I use to create art and animation.
My comic dreamDB is quite often animated and a lot of interesting stuff goes on behind the scenes, so I talk about why and how I made some things the way I made them. A lot of FAILS explained xD In fact, I just made an update to the comic and have two very interesting things explain about my animations, which you'll NEVER even be aware of if you just read through the pages like a regular reader
I think in the future I'll also make a tier for nsfw stuff, but I've still not reached the point in dreamDB's story where I have to draw it, so I have some time to think about it
I'm working on a cartoon show called Uniques United, which I'm also writing a story version of on Tapas! I've been laboring on this thing and it's been a vision I've had since 2004.
"Uniques United is an animated series currently in the making about six sibling mice who are training to become agents for a king while also piecing together a mystery surrounding the sudden disappearance of their parents." -- From the front page
We've only had this up for a short time, but we would love to get some feedback on our tiers. Are we offering too little for too much? Does it seem like the kind of things people want?
Seems like making the comics is the easy part these days, promoting them and actually making money is the hard work.
seem like everybody here know what the hell they doing with their patreon, can you guys give me some advice, my patreon page suck and i don't know how to make tier reward... i mean.... some sketchs? who would want to pay money just to see some stupid sketch of nobody???? beside i'm also suck as monetized my stuff and i'm work very slow on my comic and novel anyway so...
Most of what I know I learned by looking at others successfull Patreons. Look at their tiers, how they advertise, their aestetics - and think of a similar concept for your page.
Part of this is to learn what people pay money for. What are the most successfull tiers? What do they include? Usually "some stupid sketch of nobody" isn´t how I would advertise...also, wouldn´t you draw your characters? Im kinda confussed by that sentient but ok. Good luck
Idk, I still have no idea what I'm doing. I yelled at my followers on a social network about them being lazy and not paying enough attention to what I do, and that made two of them become my Patrons out of pity\fear, lol.
I had a different Patreon page before and I deleted it out of frustration. But then I started making more pages for my most challenging comic and suddenly got an idea about what I wanted to post - all sorts of wild mistakes and tests that I do in the process of drawing this comic. So, that was something that helped me start at least with something.
I actually don't even have any rewards. On my previous page I tried to set up some tiers with rewards because everyone does it but it felt so forced, it felt like WORK, like I need to lure people in with something and then work to make it. I gave up on that completely and decided I will offer what I have and work on making more of what interests me instead of figuring out what could potentially sell.
