“It’s alright…,” I say a little breathlessly, but he looks up from under his hair with a look so miserable and gentle, and scared - his red face still spilling over with tears turning into fire on his cheeks-

I have to.

Kiss him.

I already am before I can second guess what I’m doing-

-It’s…too much like that nightmare-

-I can’t regret this again-

My breath comes and goes again too fast - almost clipping off - before it really feels like breathing but-

He doesn’t fight it this time either.

-But this time - even as I can feel his tears on both of our faces - I’m terribly afraid that I’m going to wake up - for the ten thousandth time - and find - I’m still just as petrified - until I feel him tapping my arm like he’s trying to tap out-

A…

Lise…

“I can’t breathe,” he almost laughs through the whispered gasp - reddening violently-

:stars: Greetings!

This is my story's first kiss. It won't happen until a future update and I want to avoid spoiling who's who. All I can share now is this; these two haven't interacted yet (as of Chapter 9).

She pulls herself back and brings _______’s forehead to her lips, giving him a chaste kiss for reassurance. He still appears vacant, so she offers another kiss on his cheek. Once it’s placed on his skin, she doesn’t pull away for some reason. Both of their lips end up grazing each other with the lightest touch.

The first kiss is in the last paragraphs of the book. The main two characters, who've been crushing on and then later loving each other secretly, ask each other out to the gay prom at the very end of the book. The hotel that was causing trouble holds the dance for the neighborhood at the suggestion of one of our main characters who was a manager there. He convinced them, because they must do something for the neighborhood and people they wrecked. He's reminded instantly of the great time he had singing and dancing with everyone at a showing for the movie Grease that the neighborhood movie theater held recently. In this way, everyone recreates the dance scene in that movie at the end, but gay and Cinderella ball vibes. The two main characters, already in love, try to figure out ways to confess feelings during this, but can't figure out how. Finally, the character who was a manager for the hotel tries to explain to the person he loves why he loves him. It's a spectacular ramble. But, it makes the other character so in love, more than he's ever been before. He kisses him, and they kiss in the middle of the dance floor. The man he loves reflects on how much their lives have changed in the month that the hotel has been open. How his life will never be the same, because he's met the person he wants to be with for the rest of his life. The book ends with them kissing.

Wild Nights, Hot and Crazy Days (I should point out that this was not only my first kiss with David, it was my first kiss EVER):

In the daytime on a Monday afternoon the woods were empty. I led him inside, and once inside and safely out of view I turned and faced him. He was looking up at me with those bright green eyes, but had a perfectly serious look on his face. If anything it made him even more handsome. He reached up and pushed me down onto my back. It was a gentle fall because of the snow, but I was surprised. He didn't leave me any time to be surprised though, because as soon as I was down he climbed on top of me and started kissing me passionately.
I had been craving something like this ever since that night with Aiden that seemed so long ago. The fooling around with Colin had always felt great, but this time there was something different about it. It felt real. I very eagerly returned the kiss. As we laid there kissing I started exploring his body with my hands. He was wearing that leather jacket, so I couldn't feel much there, but I was more interested in what was down below anyway, so I grabbed his ass with both hands and squeezed. His ass cheeks were perfectly round and firm, filling my hands just right. Finally, after we had been kissing for what felt like hours but was surely only a few minutes, he pulled away and was looking at me. The smile was back. That big, beautiful smile.
"That", he said, "Is exactly what I am looking for, too."
In our passion I had completely forgotten what we had been talking about.

For Finding Daecon's Way/Defining Daecon:

Evander looked up at me, and there was both sadness in hope in his eyes.

“Evander, I did not include you on my panel of advisors because I have something much more important to ask of you. Though I only recently met you, and though we got off to a rocky start, I feel that you and I are meant to be together. I have felt my bond with you growing stronger with every passing moment, and since that moment we shared in the Astral Plain I have been absolutely certain. I cannot explain this strong attraction that I have to you as I’ve never fallen so deeply, so quickly, for anybody before. I don’t need an explanation to know that I have already fallen in love with you. I know it seems fast, but I wish to be your lover. There is nothing I would like more than to lie down with you every night and wake up to you every morning.”

Evander’s eyes lit up even as tears started streaming from their corners. “You mean…”

I released Evander’s left hand and placed my right hand under his chin, tilting it up slightly. “What I mean is that if I must rule these people there is nothing that would make that responsibility more enjoyable than having you by my side. I wish for you to be my… um… Queen? Co-King? I don’t know what you would call it.”

A muffled giggling could be heard from the crowd. “King Consort would be the proper term”, Matthew offered.

“Thank you”, I said over my shoulder. I then returned my gaze to Evander. “So, Evander Briarwood, I am asking you this: Will you be my lover? My husband? My ‘King Consort’, as it were?”

Tears were now streaming down Evander’s cheeks. I was hoping that they were tears of joy, otherwise I would soon have tears of my own. I needn’t have worried.

“Yes”, Evander mumbled.

“Pardon?” I said. “Couldn’t hear you.”

“I said yes!”, Evander cried. “I would be honoured to be your lover! That is, if my fathers approve.”

I looked over at Owen and Leander. Leander was absolutely beaming, so happy that he was hardly touching the ground. Owen’s expression was harder to read.

“Your Highness… Daecon…”, Owen said, “When I first met you I thought that you were one of the dumbest people that I had ever known. Your botched shifting, your crash landing into that lake, your total ignorance about who and what you are; who and what all of us are. In addition to this you showed an arrogance that was far above your station.”

I frowned, and noticed that Evander was also scowling.

“However”, Owen continued, “Since then I have learned that I am frequently guilty of ignorance myself. I passed judgement on you without having any idea what your past was. I have watched you grow exponentially over the past little while, both in character and in strength. As you have established control over your magic and your mind you’ve gone from somebody who I couldn’t imagine even being worthy of our society to one who now seems the most noble and wise to not just join it but to lead it. You have found your way, and I could not imagine having anybody else as King. I could not imagine myself being happier with anyone else as my son-in-law. You have my full bless-…”

He did not get to finish the sentence. Leander had pounced on him, and was kissing him between sobs.

Lucinda spoke up now. “Daecon, you spoke of an unexplained attraction to Evander, and in your previous world this would have been considered nonsense. You would have been thought as crazy to profess such strong feelings for another person so suddenly. You must therefore know this: The attraction that you feel toward Evander is real, and it is powerful. One of the main duties of a Dunamis is to restore strength to the Royal Line, and to reinvigorate the magic of the Shapeshifters. In order to do so you need a mate, and one of the powers of a Dunamis is the ability to recognize the mate that he is destined to be with. You and Evander are Fated Mates, and you will do great things together. Indeed, by giving him royal magic you have already marked him as your lover.”

“Fated Mates. I like the sound of that”, I said. “Now then, Evander, I guess we’re left with only one thing to do.”

“What’s that?” Evander asked.

“To pick up where we left off when we were interrupted on that lake shore."

With that I pulled Evander closer, placed our lips together, and we engaged in the most passionate kiss anybody who was present had ever witnessed. As we were kissing there was silence, which suddenly erupted into a loud cheer. We broke our kiss off, both of us red with embarrassment, and were immediately pounced on by a crying Leander, babbling about how happy he was.

wow you waited a lot longer than I did lol. Though my book is a series, and I technically waited until the middle of the second book, it's far from the end of the story

Lol yeah my whole book is a tease for the reader. So many almost kiss moments. My readers have left comments where they're going insane. Like, "omg, their friend interrupted them! They were going to kiss!! OMG LET THEM KISS YOU COULDN'T HAVE WAITED TO COME THROUGH THE DOORWAY FOR A FEW SECONDS" lmao.

For context, Higen was charmed by a Siren (a monster in the story) and this happened

I then grabbed his head with my two hands, conjured all the strength I had left, and pulled his face towards mine, our lips met it was a reach, but it was the only thing I could imagine that would shock him, his eyes returned to normal, the logo on his check broke and he released his grip on my neck “I… I wha… what just happened!?!” he screamed, his face was so red he looked like he was the one been strangle, he got all flustered that was the singe that he had gone back to normal, I rubbed my neck and look at my crest only one petal remained “wel…welcome back Higen, titan behind you, you cuff you got this one right?”

“You foul beast!” he yelled as he clashed against the wings of the titan, “how dear you made me do such a thing to my best friend!!!” he pierced through one of her wings with his sword, the titan tried to shake him off but he was relentless on his onslaught “that was my first kiss!, how am I supposed to continue after that!!!”

good luck finding on which chapter this happens :sip:

aye, I did this too lol throughout the first book, including one kiss that turned out to be a dream

Milo opened his eyes, meeting Kiet's gaze. The intensity in those eyes was overwhelming—a mix of desire and dominance that made Milo's knees weak.

Kiet continued, his breath hot against Milo's neck. "You will do exactly as I say. Do you understand?"

Milo nodded, his eyes wide with fear. He could feel the heat radiating from Kiet's body and the intensity of his gaze burning into him.

"Say it," Kiet demanded, his voice a low growl.

"I understand," Milo whispered, his voice trembling.

Kiet's grip tightened for a moment before he finally released Milo's wrists, letting his hands fall to his sides. Kiet's hand cupped Milo's chin, forcing him to look up and meet his gaze.

"Remember this moment, Milo," he said. "Because it marks the beginning of your new life."

Without another word, Kiet leaned in, his lips crashing against Milo's in a kiss that was both possessive and fierce. There was nothing gentle about it; it was a claim, a branding. Milo felt Kiet's dominance in every movement, every press of their lips, and every sweep of his tongue.

Milo's initial instinct was to pull away, to resist, but Kiet's grip on his chin tightened, holding him in place. Kiet's other hand slid around Milo's waist, pulling their bodies flush against each other. The heat between them was intense, almost suffocating.

Milo's senses were overwhelmed by Kiet's presence—the taste of cigarettes and something uniquely Kiet on his lips, the rough scrape of Kiet's stubble against his smooth skin, the hard press of Kiet's body against his own. There was an undeniable power in Kiet's kiss—a raw, unyielding force that left Milo breathless.

Kiet's tongue demanded entry, and Milo, with a mix of fear and reluctant surrender, parted his lips. The kiss deepened, becoming even more intense. Kiet explored Milo's mouth with a hunger that left no room for doubt about who was in control. It was a kiss that spoke of possession, of dominance, and of an unyielding claim.

From "The Tale of The Butterfly and The Crane"

He glanced around again to be sure they were still alone. If she continued to speak with such anguish in her voice, he would feel compelled to break the social rules and comfort her in his arms.

“I think I expect too much from reality,” she answered, brushing away more tears before he saw.

She liked how he made her feel when he cared for her, but he was a stranger. It was inappropriate.

“I create these silly stories of love that I know are rare,” she explained. “My parents loved each other and were loyal to each other, but I think their love was uncommon.”

He watched her wipe away tears as they continued to fall one after the other.

“I never cared about marriage,” he replied, “whether I would be forced to marry or if I found someone on my own, but now…”

She looked up at him as both of his hands held onto the ropes of the swing once again, his right arm against her back nestling her closely to him.

“Now?” she echoed quietly.

He brought his face closer to hers to look into her shadowed eyes.

“Now…” he whispered, placing his hand behind her head, “I only want you.”

She didn’t have time to reply as his lips pressed softly against hers. A thousand doubts and fears raced through her mind as his lips came near hers, but only the one that made her accept his kiss won.

The world seemed to vanish around them. There was no sound and no cold wind blowing through the trees. In that moment, only they existed.

He felt her soften beneath him and lean into his chest, her hands holding onto him for support. He deepened his kiss and gently wrapped his other arm around her to hold her close.

She never imagined her first kiss would be so sweet. She thought it would be awkward or dull since she had no idea how it was done. In his arms, with him guiding her so tenderly, she felt it was the most natural thing.

When he started to pull away, she tightened her grip on his robe. She didn’t want him to let her go.

makes sense, and yeah, for most of my stories the first kiss is some distance away

Not my stories first kiss, but a fun fact about Therese and Verner. They had they're first kiss, and Verner told Therese she had to marry him (playfully of course) the day they met. But she agreed. Vern is a bit impulsive lol, but it worked out for him I suppose

No spoilers in this one I put the first kiss in the first chapter as a joke. Aurora has a very dissatisfying surprise kiss with princy boy and now existential crisis ensues. I had a lot of fun turning this trope on it's head.

My favorite line from the kiss scene:

I wanted to push him away, but I was so furious that he decided to steal this life’s first kiss that I leaned into it instead. I wouldn’t let him ruin this for me.

There’s a moment of stillness, where the world seems to fade away, leaving just the two of us standing there, inches apart. I lean down slightly, and Elio tilts his head up, closing the small distance between us. Our lips meet in a gentle, tentative kiss- soft and sweet, but filled with emotion. Elio’s hand rests lightly on my chest, and I feel the warmth of his touch through my shirt. The kiss is brief, but it feels like everything in that moment is right. When we pull back, there’s a softness in Elio’s gaze that takes my breath away.

23 days later

Since my other OCs are still far from their first kiss. Here is Alicia and Kat's second kiss

“Fine, do you know what I really want?” He tilts his head with that same subtle smile, crossing his arms over his cable-knit chest.

“What?” I ask slowly, as I cram as much of the pretzel as I can manage into my mouth to try to avoid dropping any crumbs on his couch.

“The other half of that pretzel you’re eating.”

He grins roguishly, and before I can say anything in response, he leans forward across the cushions, and bites off the other half of my pretzel, with a sort of half-kiss that turns my whole face burning red.

“Get your own!” I bluster, embarrassed and flustered in a sort of butterfly-ish flutter as he re-steals the pretzel bag and plops back against his pillows on the opposite end of the couch, “Give me that back!”

“Not on your life,” he grins, placing one of the pretzels between his teeth teasingly. “If you want it, come and get it.”
