I LOVE the grayscale design and the look of an original old fashioned manga! I still don't know how you do it but you're amazing at it. I also noticed every panel it's very detailed and honestly that's really good. So, don't have much to say, it doesen't look like you miss any of the essentials for good comic making if not for the fact that the story in and for itself it's not my preferred genre so, as you said for my comic, there is a target audience for pretty much everything but I fear that cute slice of life you've chosen may not blow up as quicky as other, more popular, ones.
Anyway don't be discouraged if it takes longer to get attention, the style and story are sound so you'll surely make it

Thank you so much, I'm so glad you like it and are excited about reading more! It took A LOT of experimenting with camera angles, blurs, and linework to figure out how to do draw action in a way that would look good/make sense.

Uploading 3 episodes at launch was actually very intentional and will be the only time I upload that much at once. On Webtoon specifically, if a reader views 3 episodes, a pop up generates asking if they want to subscribe. Statistically speaking, it reminds more people to sub at launch that otherwise might have forgotten and was a tactic encouraged by the creators of Webtoon. The plan all along was to launch 3 at the start then switch to a consistent 1 episode every 3 weeks from episode 4 and on. Also, thank you so much for your concern about me getting burnt out but no worries, I have already planned for this as well. I actually have been working on the series for over a year and am working on finishing up chapter 3 currently(meaning I have uploads all the way up to January of next year ready to go). I know these pages take a long ass time and wanted to have plenty of buffer so that I could put a consistent schedule first and foremost. ^-^' I do want to upload on Tapas eventually as well, but I'd like to experiment with a more frequent upload schedule(maybe once every week or once every two weeks) so I need to wait until even more of it is done before I can try that.

It's awesome to hear that, it is a really clever strategy! It looks my concerns were unfunded ahaha ^^ (one of the few times I can say I am glad I was wrong)
Since I know little about Webtoon I had no idea but yeah, that makes perfect sense (also I should have known better since you're drawing skills are THAT good that you probably didn't come unprepared 🤦‍♀️).
Also, I figured it took long to draw chapters so long and detailed, that's why I decided to go simple c':
In all honesty I tried to do the same some time ago and draw a comic trying to draw a long part of it before starting to publish it and that didn't work for me at all... not having any feedback on how whay I'm doing will be received by the public made me question everything, the pages (which were in full colour and shading and whatnot) took me ages and I quickly lost the will and motivation to go on... but I am really glad thay worked for you

Thank you for the feedback. I know I have a long way to go so I keep on practicing to improve my style. The story concept is more a selfish one since it's a story I wanted to do. My plan is to make another a story and run them at the same time when I get faster and producing this story. One story for myself and one story for people to read.

Haha, no worries, it was definitely some sound advice you had either way! And yeah, they take a long time, the backgrounds probably being the biggest time sink. Each page is like 7-9 hours to do but the more I do it, the faster I get. It used to be 10-12 hours. I'm sorry the more detailed art was harder for you to keep up with, I totally understand how that feels. I think your more simplistic style is going to work really well for you though, the romance genre doesn't necessarily need to be super detailed. It's more about the relationships anyway so as long as those are reading well/keeping viewers engaged, you're good to go!

Yours is really cute! I genuinely think it's underrated :c
The fact is, as said before, that most of the readers on Tapas have more or less the same tastes... that is why I decided to go for a BL in the first place. I mean, I love Silver Lining because I think it will teach me much as a project, but to be fair, audience-wise, that means going on easy-mode since romance is the most popular genre on the platform.
I extremely appreciated the diversity you show in your comic ethnicity wise but also when it comes to lgbt+ characters. As a lesbian myslef I feel like there's not enough positive representation in media (and that's another conversation but it was worth mentioning).
The thing I noticed that we could call a little mistake and makes it difficult to read is the scheme in which you put the panels that looks much more like a traditional comic than a webcomic. Dunno if you've already read it but I'll leave a link to the Tapas' section in which they give some readability tips (if you are not interested in the rest, you can scroll the article to the specific section but if you already haven't, I'd suggest you read all of it 'cause it's really helpful)

Series Basics: How to find your audience

So well your comic has many points of strength such as the fact thay it's in colour, the diversity in the characters, the enticing story ect. And few "weaknesses": readability and the fact that (and mind you, that is not something you have to fix, just to keep in mind not to get bummed because of) your audience will probably grow slowly.
As an advice you could try and find other platforms that prefers a kind of story such as yours... andventorous and full of positive representation. (I mean, also keep publishing on Tapas anyway because I can't wait to read the rest ))

Well, I read all the available chapters so far, the story seems to be familiar somehow, I don't know if it's like a gay version of a classic Disney dilemma or something like that, I don't know, I feel like I have seen this kind of story before, the actual boyfriend is a monster and the new boyfriend will be a white knight in shining armor. If the story is that simple well you need to develop more in your world at least, it is an omegaverse right? Worlds like that always have some changes in their rules, so you could take time to explore that. Because I don't know if you are planning to make a short webtoon but it doesn't seem that will last long at least you drag the situation as long possible just to not end it.

But, well maybe you have more plans for the future, I had a similar experience with the few first chapters, they could be resume in just one chapter, but well, we all are growing up on that. But well, you manage to find a lot of subscribers so, congratulations

well, normally I would say 'populate the environment' but i think that the minimalism approach you are taking is really nice. I like how you add just a few items to get the point across, and you do it well. A few things you can work on is perspective on things like your tables, and a little more on the anatomy. particularly the foreshortening depatment.

Eidolon, is a dark fantasy, action comic that follows the story of a girl named Ahiko. She received a letter of acceptance into the Aris mages’ guild; which has been her lifelong dream. As she makes her journey there, she is subjected to a surprise change in fate. The country of Azeria is run by a magocracy where three magic guilds operate as peacekeepers and government officials in the region. Due to the circumstances that had transpired, Ahiko must now work as a mercenary, with the help of a wandering Sorcerer by the name Rokuzo. I really like the art, especially how it's mostly monochromatic, but also using other colours to emphatize certain objects/moments ^^ Dominic's outfits are adorable too!! I don't even read omegaverse that often but I'm interested to see where the story's going so I subscribed One thing that could use improvement are the backgrounds/perspective, but I'm sure you just need some practice!

I looked through some of your comic. BL isn't really my jam and I'm pretty picky on any romance I read and this story doesn't do it for me even if it wasn't BL. But I'm sure there are those that might better appreciate both BL and this type of romance story. So I won't critique the writing. The art is clean most of the times but has some noticeable drops here and there. When it's good, it's good though not to my taste but I'll recognize when something is cleanly drawn regardless. One thing I'll mention is that it seems that you're much more comfortable with some posing than others. Noticeably so. Not sure if that's a difference between using references and not or if it's just a lack of rounded anatomy understanding in many circumstances. Keep that pencil moving

To answer your question first (before going to actually read your comic ) don't worry... things will get more interesting and although I wanted to play a little with the presentation the REAL focus of my story is highlighting each and every subtle toxic behaviour... having experienced an abusive relationship in the past, the focus here is the path of Dominic to healing and yeah... I've never been a "cute romance" kind of person ahahaha
Noah and Dominic may eventually fall in love but yeah (I wanted to explain in more of a detailed way but I can't because... spoilers )

Okay so, aside from the point I have already mentioned, thank you for your feedback ^^
Since SL is in fact my first comic I am focusing on keeping it simple... It's true I really love the warmth and support but I wanted to start something that as a student wouldn't be too intricate (although I also have other stories in mind) to prove myself I'm not a quitter...
Back to your comic: I love your artstyle! The variety between the design of each character remind me something of... pokemon? Could it be? And I am all for that! You are one of the few relatively new artists that I've seen using colour in a mindful way so that's bonus points ^^
I haven't seen major errors, there is just a couple of things that I don't like but I can't tell if it's something that relies on personal taste so I might be wrong
First: even though I appreciate the skill in drawing such a narrow lineart I think it may be too much... also because it sometimes makes difficult to differentiate between the charachters and the backgroud (?)
Second: I think the part that explaines how the "universe" in which the story takes place is too long... I mean, there's so much specific information (such as the one were you show the different kinds of Subhams or the elements) that it's hard to remember because it still is not that relevant to the story once you get started... I think it could be easier to remember if you gave only a brief introduction and then explained in detail the various things once you've already gotten to know the characters and you are wondering "okay so... why do they look like that? What are their powers?" as an answer to these questions, otherwise it feels umprompted

Thank you very much!!! I know my story lacks of... other characters and I am yet to decide if this is something I am going to fix or not since there is this particular feel of isolation I want to be extremely clear about. When I was struggling with a past abusive relationship, this one of the most important red flags. You get told thay everybody else judges you, that your friends and family don't love you the way they do, that they are the only one that understand you and listen to you... once you start to become suspicious of everybody else around you, you become isolated. Then, if and when you try to leave they can still blackmail you because you really have nobody else and at that point you depend on them. As I explained before, even though I played the part in the descrtiption and introduction, this is no sappy romantic story... at least, for the most part.
BUT since I am yet to decide, I am open to take in your advice... knowing this background, which kind of secondary characters would you want to see in the story?

Then about your comic: I think it takes a whole lot of skill to draw action that actually looks like the characters are in motion... this is the kind of thing I have yet to learn so... I'm taking notes here ahaha ^^
The only thing that I noticed as an error is that it looks a little untidy... like a sketch. Le lines are sometimes too jagged or wobbly... I don't know what you use to draw but I know that most drawing programs have a way to set a stabilizer (in SAI), correction (in FireAlpaca) or StreamLine (Procreate) to get a smoother lineart so maybe that could be helpful ^^
All in all, you're off to a good start! Keep it up
