Should I wait until I'm 18 to publish my comic?

The earlier you start the better in my opinion. Even if you believe your comic is immature, it will still open your eyes to the world of comic making. And the only way to improve is to do it!

Everytime you draw a page or a chapter you'll notice small improvement, and by the time you look back at where you started you'll notice the drastic improvement.

What I'm saying is, don't be afraid to start a comic even if you are younger than 18. Heck, I started publishing when I was 17 (almost 20 now so you're talking to an old boi here jk)! Sure, my stuff was horrible at the time but it was a great learning experience.

As many people have alreday said, I'd just start working on your comic as soon as posible. If you really want to do it your age isn't a way to stop you from doing it.
I'm 19 right now and I started posting my comic two years ago when I was definitely under 18 and trust me, that was the best choice ever.
By starting your comic right now you'll start improving on both writing and drawing at a much faster pace since comic making will "force" you to work on things that you usually don't deal with (in my case backgrounds for draing and dialogue for writing). Also actually posting it will give you reasons to commit to a deadline and will help you be much more productive! It's a win win in my eyes to be honest XD
Doubts can come at every age, so the best option is to start soon to get over them even sooner.

Because you automatically become "mature" when you turn 18...NOT. I'm 47, and I still whimsically create and bury story ideas...not everything is going an "epic knock it out of the park" idea. Some stories are going to need nurturing and TONS of revisions; just settle on an idea that you are positive that you will want to keep working on.

OR- create smaller comics/stories that you can "cut your teeth on"(training) until you settle on a story that you will want to do for a lengthy period of time.

18 is not any magical age, honestly, because like others have already stated in this thread, you will never stop growing and maturing.

The works you make at 18, or 25, or 40, will be probably technically superior to what you can make now - but they'll be also very different, and might resonate with different audiences, for different reasons. Everything you create is a stepping stone, and everytime, you'll think "wow i really could have done that thing better" about your older works, and that's fine.
Don't worry about your age or maturity, just work on your comic with the time you have now and publish whenever you feel prepared!

Nope. I wrote 18 because this is the age when you reach the end of puberty.

I'm not sure where you heard that? There is no specific age that is set in stone for when puberty ends or starts. There's more common times for when this stuff starts and stops for people, but humans do not come with an exact internal clock. (And some people never even go through puberty, so what happens to them when they reach 18? )
You may want to educate yourself a bit more about human physiology, as it seems you're lacking some crucial information.

If you're more worried about your brain "maturing" then uh, tough luck, because that really never stops happening. Make your comic, and stop worrying about your age.

The sooner you get out all of those early pages, the sooner you get to even better pages that you can enjoy. Embrace your youth!

Nope. I wrote 18 because this is the age when you reach the end of puberty.

1) Technically puberty doesn't end until your mid 20s. 18 is just the age for a legal adult.

2) I posted my first webcomics when I was 16/17. And yes, looking back on it does make me cringe, however I have also posted stuff as a 20 year old which also makes me cringe.

I think you should start posting if you feel ready to post, however there is not magic number of how old you need to be to start posting, as long as you are not 13 or something.
