I think there was another similar post a day or so ago, so I won't show the full progression. Instead I'll dig even deeper into the archives for Carmen (me) from Wild Nights, Hot and Crazy Days:
This is the earliest drawing I have of Carmen (the one not talking). 4X4Play was a comic series that I did before WNHCD, and it was centered around automotive culture. This really happened. My friend Dale and I were trying to find a lake way back in the woods to go fishing in. He was driving his father's '72 K-5 Blazer and he was going a bit too fast for my liking (we were driving old 4x4 trails that we had never been on before and he was driving like he was on the highway). The words were barely out of my mouth for him to slow down when we came over a small knoll a little too hot and were suddenly in the lake. All I could think of was the 8 mile walk back out of the woods.
Thankfully we didn't have to walk. A couple of Jeepers happened by and pulled us out. Still, it took hours and ruined our fishing trip.
You can definitely see the influence The Simpsons had on my drawing style in the early 1990's. That laughing fish is Spencer, a character from my very first comic, Sam The Shark, which debuted in 1988.

The very last drawing that I did for WNHCD is this one of when I married my husband. I'm the tall one:
