Show me wacky/out-there/fun anime designs!

I like anime as much as the next artist, but lets be real; the designs can be a little bit much at times. And I think that's why I was so attracted to them as a kid. They were so different to the simple styles I'd seen on tv at the time.

I think Vocaloids and JPRG characters take the cake on this, put what do you think? Do you know any anime designs from a game or show that are kinda weird but also kinda awesome?! Post em! Link em! I wanna see weird colors and impractical costume design! Why? Just for fun!

First design that came to my mind is Nami from the Aoishiro visual novel.


Her design is beautiful but considering there's a lot of ocean and swimming in the game its kind of impractical. xD

JoJo is a gold mine. I think part 5 embodies most of the essence where everyone just dress weirdly.

Boueibu Happy Kiss, being a magical girl parody, wen't all out with over the top slightly gaudy designs.

Most of Symphogear is reasonably fashion conscious but Kirika's sometimes gets a bit eccentric.

Giriki from Soul Eater and his stupid chainsaw shoes that look hilarious but also really badass somehow. Like when he scuttles across the ground it’s such an unintentionally funny moment that it completely ruins the tension.

Well some of my favorites for sure are the characters from Houshin Engi by Fujisaki Ryu. Even though people were saying annoying things like "omggg their shoes are so big/pointy" when the new anime aired recently. e_e People try and ruin everything.

I really like the designs from Azur Lane:
