Tomboys get all the hype as the edgy "cooler" ones, and most people assume that being girly means a female character has to be cliche, but that's definitely NOT the case. so let's see your girly girls. Tell me about them.

I'll start with Alicia. Alicia is pretty traditionally feminine in that she loves skirts and dresses and keeping her hair (honestly, impractically) long, but she's also deceptively tough. She took her and her little brother's lives into her own hands at 14 when her mother was no longer in a state to care for them, and she didn't shy away from living much less than glamorously to get that done. She also just has a quirky interest in sea creatures like sea slugs and blob fish, partly just because she finds marine life interesting, and partly because it freaks her boyfriend out

You know, I think a lot of my characters are just feminine in general, even when they aren’t a girl… they could be nonbinary or a guy but I just like drawing pretty things like even here I’d say Sabah looks like girly girl but he’s just serving looks I don’t think the characters act a particular way though? They all have different personalities despite having those girlie girl fashion looks

All my female characters have feminine/girly girl aspects BUT Andy is my most princess-y Barbie girl. Mostly because she’s a spoof on the tomboy best friend trope lol.

Mev can be a girly-girl at times, but not consistently enough to count for this thread I’d say… Sabrina is probably my girliest character.

I changed her hair slightly since this pic (it’s pretty old actually)
Sabrina is from my Pirate story that I won’t make for another 10 years.

Anyway- she has a rich family that lives on the other side of the world and thinks she’s dead (she accidentally? ran away from home when she was ten.) she was taken in by a healer and currently lives with the healer’s daughter. She has tried to make a living as a bounty hunter (it works out sometimes) because the entire reason she ran away as a child was because she had a fantasy about being one. She feels like she’d be letting her past self down if she didn’t try, or that she got stuck on the other side of the world for nothing.
Yeah that’s her entire bg idk why I felt like typing that. I didn’t even talk about what makes her girly 🥲 you’ll just have to take my word for it.

Therese George is very traditionally feminine. She loves flowers and pretty clothes, but she's also very simplistic in her style, not liking a lot of jewelry (her only piece of jewelry is a necklace with her grandmother's hair in it) and she's not afraid of getting dirty either. She's a very hardworking housewife, who also loves cultivating her garden, which is frankly, nasty work. She's very sweet, but also pretty hardcore, and not above poisoning someone to keep her family safe.

Mora is also pretty feminine. Despite being a pretty muscular athletic girl, which for some reason people often assume is the opposite of being girly unless you do cheer or gymnastics, Mora loves fashion, makeup, and cute hairstyles, though the fact that she HAS TO wear makeup for safety does take some of the shine out of it. She's also a big fan of high school novels and YA romance lol.

This is my most girly girl.
Her name is Miyara and she will eventually appear in my manga/webcomic "RADIX".
She loves dancing, playing harmless pranks and has a very uplifting nature in general.
Her hometown Liborah is the so called "City of Trees", a place where all kinds of cultures and people
are coming together to live a very free and individualistic lifestyle in the middle of the Liborah Forest.

That's why her design is inspired by different cultures like India and Japan mixed with some
Native American influences.
