Every character/comic improves from time to time, right? It's a lot more interesting to know your first ever draft from your characters or comic, whether traditional or not, there are no rules.
Here's my first ever draft of my characters and comics from The Penventor over 9 months ago.

Most of these are from around 2012 or maybe a bit earlier.

This is the earliest test art for Daniel back when I was considering setting it in the '20s, Christine's at the top with a different hairstyle and Daniel's on the right with extra long bangs for some reason. Also, two characters that were cut.

More of me trying to get down Daniel's look and figure out how to draw fedoras.

Earliest art for what's probably closest to the final designs of Daniel, Wayne and Christine...though Daniel's look was still changed a bit more, particularly his clothes. He was far too goth looking to fit into the '30s.
This pic also has notes on it that are no longer accurate. Christine became the opposite of having "issues with commitment and social status". _{(I also mispelled 'pomade', gehh...)}

While this isn't the first picture - the first sketch is buried in a sketchbook somewhere - this is the earliest picture of Masahiro and Akane that I can find - and they haven't changed much. Masahiro has grown a lot more ragged and scruffy, and I've wrecked his outfit quite a bit - switched his fancy belt for a scrap of cloth, turned the hems ragged, switched out his neat grey shirt for one that's zombie-stitched together out of two different-coloured halves, etc. Akane's face is a little rounder, her eyes a little bigger. She's got a pair of trousers these days that she doesn't here, and so on.

These two are one of the very few instances when character-designs stay more or less the same from start to finish. Usually, I change my mind a dozen times. With Grassblades, I instead settled for changing my mind about the plot a million times! XD

Echo did not much changed, I think (besides getting a real practical armor). I had that character design researches and I really like it, so... No changes for the lady, when she was goign to be in a comic ! Hrodland was more like androgynous, people always told me when I was modeling "why don't you add her boobs ? She would be better". Man, it's a dude. Also, terribly white. In my head, he was a little bit tanned.

Back in 2010, I made HUGE WATERMARKS on my drawings too.

This is the oldest version of teb I can find at the mo, 5 years old?. She went through numerous wardrobe numbers too. This version was, er, different to the teb we now see. Completely different backstory. I changed it a lot but kept some of her core personality traits (and other were tweak to match the new world or completely removed)

aww you know the first one looked really cool! like something out of a desert, though I'm a super fan of desert clothes so don't mind me.......she doesn't live in a desert so it makes sense to change her clothes...heh

The very first drawings I did for Memento Mori are probably lost... 'cause I did them on paper in high school... and the first digital ones are all porn... /pats myself sarcastically on the back

Had no concept of how beards, collars, or ties worked, and for some reason Schaeler is wearing a hair-tie that's holding maybe a quarter of his hair. Nice hairstyle, Schaeler, did your dead kid do it for you? I can't say their designs changed too drastically (they really haven't changed very much since I first made them in 2008-ish) but hopefully I've at least learned to draw them better and more accurately?

Ah funny you should say that, She had ice like abilities and a high body temperature (loooooooong story) so in temperament climates were too hot, thus the clothes

I, being the idiot I was, didn't really plan this out, so this is actually my first draft/page/sketch/thing for [Insert Epic Title Here] I had just gotten an idea and drew it...

Though I am working on a more planned out series I'll probably release next year....

This is an interesting post. Funny enough, the first After Reality draft is kinda terrible for me, I think I've improved a lot. I you want, you can read it here, the "pilot chapter" http://tapastic.com/series/After-Reality which was the first draft, and then the final product beginning follows immediately after! Don't worry; the first draft isn't canon at all
