Show Me Your Foul-Mouthed Characters!

Hey everyone! So I think that many comics have a character/(s) that seem to be little more potty mouthed than their counterparts. The characteristics that accompany this character type though is very diverse, from being an overconfident villain to a brave and fierce heroine.
In my comic Wednesday 7 the fella that falls under this character is Chris Chirpo, a young upshot cop who doesn't take anyone's sass, doesn't like to many people, and works non-stop. He's a real hardworking and efficient cop that basically fought his way to where he is now, so the little extra cursing is a way to...let's say blow off some steam!

Anyways, I'm excited to see anyone else's characters that fall under this category and the reasons they act/talk the way they do.

My character Johnny Kwest from Don't Be A Hero would definitely fit the bill. He's an insanely foul-mouthed necromancer guitarist with a larger-than-life ego. I can't recall many pages where I've gotten by without him at least swearing once.

Definitely gonna be my MC, Detective Sierra Vesping from Brujagh. She's one for getting her hands dirty if it's in the best interest of everyone. Flawed, but likable.

And she's trying to be nice.

Lol. Most of my characters cuss, but I guess 'Julian' would have to be the worst, half his dialogue will probably be cuss words. He's one of those "douchebag with a heart of gold" stereotypes, a workaholic who's extremely grouchy, stubborn and cynical. But also a doormat who will let people walk all over him despite his nearly unapproachable demeanor.
'Julian' doesn't show up till the end of the chapter, but he's from my comic 'VTGtaHR'.

Grey from Centralia 2050 is a bit of a foul-mouthed guy >u>; Chris' design actually reminds me a lot of him, haha. They both have the same grump face.



Grey doesn't drop swears every other line, though; I use strong language pretty sparingly in the comic. I think the manner in which your character swears says a lot; for instance, if they drop F-bombs every sentence like a nervous tic, or if they only swear in extreme anger. Grey swears somewhat casually, but never at/towards Midori. As for Midori, I couldn't imagine her using strong language except in extreme circumstances. Which means, if she were to swear it would carry a lot more weight than her foul-mouthed friend.

Unnnfortunately I can't show my foul-mouthed characters, cuz... exactly zero of them have actually been introduced to my comics since they're both still young. But I love me some jerks so I'll be paying attention to this thread I guarantee

@Michelle I'm actually a big fan of Centralia and I hadn't noticed Grey as being fouled mouth until you mentioned it! Now I feel like I'm going to always notice it
@agentfink I like Randy's design/ expression and how it matches the dialogue. His eyes have small changes but they reflect how he talks ^-^

Lol! I noticed the over-worked, grumpy types tend to be the most foul-mouthed, at least when it comes to stories. Can't say so much for real life, since knew a super giddy bird who had a sailors mouth, she was so cool. :')

Hm, both Andreas and Beau swear a lot to vent frustrations, though Beau uses it more to express his enthusiasm.

I actually have two, very different from one another but both share the typical foul-mouth compared to the rest of the cast:

Abel is quite young to possess a foul mouth, but here he is, your typical spoiled, two-faced brat

And the main character's brother who is probably the most hated character in the series right now very proud of him 👌

randall is also angry but hes also Big and Hardcore
he hasn't dropped any f bombs yet but it's coming.........

Nona and Andrew are the foul mouthed characters in my comic.

Nona is a lesser god of fate, the youngest of the three sisters that spins the fates of humans, because she spins human fates she deals closely with them, and has picked up on their 'charming' manner of speech. As the weakest and least intimidating of her sisters this is her way of keeping up with them and standing out so that she can being seen as an individual instead of 'the sister of ____' label that younger siblings tend to fall under.

Andrew 'll sometimes swear without thinking about it nor meaning to, though for the most part, he means to. It's just become a natural form of speaking for him. Aside from just casually being foulmouthed Andrew generally wants to make it clear to people when he is upset with them. No dancing around the issue and no holding back even if they're an authority figure. Just a straight and honest 'fuck you'

Mallena and Li are two of my most loud mouthed characters from Welcome Back. Mallena started out as a terrible asshole in the start of the first part of the comic but eventually learned to be nicer and more compassionate and befriend the person she picked on.

Li on the other hand is always personified as irritable, angry and impulsive in the comic's dreamworld. It's a fear of his that he'll lose control of himself in reality and do things he'll regret so everything he fears is mirrored in fantasy.

From my comic, Life of an Aspie, I have these two peeps using words that would get them smacked if an adult was within earshot.

Translation: "Uh...What the fuck!? Do you even think before you talk?

Translation: "HOW DOES IT FEEL!? HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE TREATED HORRIBLY YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT! ANSWER ME!"
