Show me your zines!

So recently, I had to make a zine about whatever topic I wanted for one of my college classes (as you might have heard about in the sketch a day thread)

Well, I finished it earlier today!

I had a lot of fun making it, even if figuring out formatting and page order for printing at 1:00 in the morning was kind of a nightmare. I plan to make more in the future and maybe even sell copies of them!

And now the point of this thread; what types of zines have y’all made? If you haven’t made any yet, what topics would you want to make one about?

I'm actually planning on making a zine of my finished Blacktober drawings once I've compiled all 31 days and selling it as a pdf through ko-fi. I've honestly wanted to make them in the past but only really started getting a better grasp on software and formatting recently.

As for topics I feel like there's a lot that can be done! Most stuff that's come to mind has always gone back to interests of mine or my ocs so I can honestly see myself doing a lot on things like the world building or lore elements of my comics that may not show up in the main content or timelines or interests of mine like certain games, themes or other stuff

I only did 5 zines one time, quite old now.
I made them for comic practice, and also a reminiscence to my old 'made-up' series & characters.

Zines and minicomics are punk as fuck and more people should make them.

Offf.... I did fanzines years ago back when I was just starting Some are sooo bad but I kind of have a bit of affection for them hahahah. Personally, the only bad thing about making Fanzines is that most of the time production wise is very expensive (At least where I live) and it was impossible to charge for them a higher price and gain an extra bit just to produce more, lol. So that's kind of why I've stoppped doing them

I did two fanzines back in 2015, named Pizza Delivery. It was about a family from the hidden world running a bussiness for other supernatural creatures, the older brother underpaying his younger sister while her only motivation was to get a motorcycle.
I sold these back in the day for very cheap but dang these are so bad hahahaha. They are free to read in my Facebook Page but these are only in Spanish lol (Fanzine 1 and Fanzine 2)

I've done another one that while it was under an Editorial, it really collapsed and disappeared from the face of Earth so I sold it as another fanzine since they... kind of never asked me the money for the print or didn't register the Title at all, this was something so poorly done since I was rushing because I thought that I wouldn't get the position/opportunity if I didn't deliver this fast. This was from 2017 and also free to read on my Fanpage (Again, only in Spanish)

By digging a bit more I also found this weird entry for an Editorial's Contest, obviously I didn't win nor got a mention haha. But it was fun to try. I think I printed this one to add it into another fanzine for a small shoutout section but I can't find it anywhere (2017)

I've also done a very short story but I didn't get the chance to print it since I was still in high-school and had no money at all lol. I believe that from all these previous works, this one and Pizza Delivery's Fanzine 1 were done entirely on digital. The others were in traditional and I believe I have the papers somewhere in a briefcase (This was from 2018)

I actually contributed to a few fanzines. One was about Batman and Robin, one was about Sonic, and one was about the X-Men.

Worldbuilding/lore zines sound really cool!! And I feel you on the formatting thing. I had to get the librarian’s help to figure out how to format mine, and it took us an hour lmaoooo

Nice! I actually started hosting a fanzine earlier in the year that I’m hoping will get done… eventually lmao. Classes kinda make it hard for me to work on something like that full time, and not all the participants have finished their pieces yet, but I’m determined to see it through

Thank you, still those are very old works so my style was very different from what it is now. Not to mention it had other influences back then therefore why the styles were so inconsistent.

Sometimes I'd like to go back and make fanzines but the prices are not to mention that in most Artists Alleys, Events or Anime Cons those who are friends with the staff have more privilege to get a place within the event, or your section ends up very far away from the rest of the event and even behind the Commercial / Food sections so most of the time when people finally discover we're there as well, they already ran out of money.

I must have to admit that it kind of took me a while to adapt to the Vertical format thanks to the traditional comics I used to make, some of my early webcomic stuff looks very weird compared to my most recent ones (Still wobbly, but doing better)

I am thinking of making a zine (I have never done that before) but I am not sure what it should be about. I would prefer it would be something I could sell too, but I am not sure if people would buy it.
