Some drawings of Stainless City from CAPEFALL.
Ah yes, there is some constructivism going on as well but it's not as apparent in this. It gets more visible in the exteriors. I wanted to create something with the least "human" look possible yet at the same time make something that we could relate to (since it's been an established style).
It's not that hard to do since it's very straightforward unlike Art Nouveau and Victorian.
Everything here is amazing- I'm so stunned by how much effort you guys put into your compositions.
Here are some from West.
From my comic: https://tapastic.com/series/magicadvisor
Heres some from my comic Scavenger
and here is a picture I finished recently
I suffer a lot doing backgrounds usually y try to avoid them but sometimes they don't suck so much so here are some of Psique that I didn't hate =D
I hope you like it, if you do come and say hi, don't be shy =D
This is cool! I love how well you've chosen the colors. I'm curbing my envy right now haha
I like doing scenery every now and again. Gives me a chance to introduce weird bits of the world we never explore directly in the story. www.shedwarf.com
Here's some from my series: https://tapastic.com/series/Knights
I tried to take advantage of the scrolling format of the webcomic. The building is based on a CC0 3D model and I've used 3D to help with interior scenes too. But I think I want to move to a more painterly style without line art for the backgrounds to contrast with the characters that do have line art. Kind of like The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra.
One of my upcoming chapters is going to have a lot of scenic backgrounds, so I maybe I'll come back
Some Panels https://tapastic.com/series/GardeThought of posting my other comic since my current one is a weird mixed media approach of photos, 3D, photomanips, drawings, paintings. This one is consistent in style.
Yep.
Hahahaha thank you so much!
lol why not, backgrounds are the only thing i've even half competent at
and here's a really, really early wip
i like to make up for my incredible inability to draw buildings by spamming fucking trees and shit all over.
Here are some backgrounds from Whetstone:
New backgrounds from THE LAST SAMURAI
Mostly cartoony city shots in my comic right now. Here's some panels.
meeeee ?
I'm just crazy 8'D
Every panel is worked with the same detail level :'Dhttps://tapastic.com/series/Extinction
@trivialtales I love that style of yours! It's so colorful!! @c1gwendoline those backgrounds are simply amazing!! Love the one in yellow and brown, so beautiful!
I'm not that good with backgrounds but I truly enjoy making them. These are from Tsukiko: the moon child's wish This one is a split page, that is why it looks quite bad in the middle, sorry for that...
And from my other webcomic Wyrd
My comic's still quite young, but scenery is proving fun to make - the Irish coast is a beautiful place.
Thanks! Your style is really good too! Good to see some traditional, ink wash comics on here.
