I've been having a look through the 47392 changes my art went through in volume one of my comic alone, but I was very happy to see the improvement happening in my work! Got me excited thinking about how good future scenes in the comic will look.

Show your improvement in the replies!

Here's mine (one year difference):

The first picture I made specifically for a chapter of Galactiquest (2020)

This is around the time I started consistently making images for the story (2021)

And finally, my most recent, from Saturday:

Having an art program with a brush stablizer really changed things.

Not sure I've improved too much in the last 5 years but I've certainly honed down the look for this comic and reeled in my try-hard energy...:sweat_02:

This post made me realize I accidentally redrew an old panel.

I didn't think I improved my people and effects much until I put them side by side.

But I know I improved my backgrounds. First vs latest bg

It may not seem like much, but these took the same amount of time to draw.
I did NOT know what I was doing the first time lol

I've had the chapter I'm working on now planned out for years, and had drawn out the cover I believe back in 2005 or 2007 when I drafted the chapter. I only just got to drawing that chapter out in 2020 for ComicFury, when I decided to undertake a revamp to improve the very, very old pages. Due to a family emergency, I had to put on hold drawing new chapters on ComicFury (readers here on Tapas weren't affected) until I complete the revamp (made that decision in 2021. Thankfully my readers on ComicFury are understanding that this is a labor of love, I'm human, and my family takes precedence over my own passion projects).

I'm finally getting into the early pages of Ceremony this year, which lead to this redraw. I know this is the year I'll finish up the revamp of Time Warp and can start drawing new pages. But having undertaken this project, I'm incredibly proud of the improvements I've made, and being able to reflect and see that progress.

I'm pretty happy with the last time I've drawn this. But then, I just did it this year, so I'm sure I'll be dissatisfied with this cover art in a couple years XD

Lots of babble...but I guess I'm feeling chatty.

Edit: oddly, these are also all done with different mediums. The first I literally used printer paper and a uni-ball pen. The second, ink paper with a sanji style nib and sumi ink. The last bristol board and a brush with sumi ink.

Thank you!!
And it definitely did lol
I almost didn't do it because of the time but I wanted to try drawing a city at least once!
