My husband and I are under the weather like woah. Sniffles, coughing, headaches, etc. Creating comics while we're sick is just something we have to do, but man, it's also a great way to make some stupid mistakes. I just colored in a character with an entirely different characters color guides. Oof.

Any tips for creating when you're sick? Alternatively: What's your go to home remedy/cold comfort when you're sick?

Ha! What a coincidence. I currently am a bit under the weather and was feeling really crummy yesterday so much so I couldn't even sit at my desk. So I sat on the couch instead and played Fallout 4 for a few hours. After that and some dinner I felt good enough to work and finish this morning's update of Demon House. So definitely don't stress yourself if you're not up for work, it will only do more harm than good.

My comfort is definitely a hot cup of tea, perhaps with some lemon and honey. The key being that it's hot, so it can cut through the mucus in my throat. Taking a nap helps with headaches and eye fatigue for me.

I actually like being sick, and that's when I am most productive with drawing ; v; I just draw in bed, surrounded with blankets, having a cup of tea or water with honey, and taking a nap every 2-3 panels, not worrying about uni or other responsibilities CX

My tip for creating when sick? Slow down. Do what you have the energy to do, but don't despair when that's all you can manage. And, most importantly, make sure that what you draw doesn't need to be finished/delivered/posted the same day - that way, you can leave it till you've recovered, and go back and discover mistakes before someone else sees them.

As for home-remedies... Lots and lots of tea - or hot beverage of your choice - with ginger and lemon and honey. Honey mixed in drinks is immensely soothing for sore throats. So is ice-cream! Who says you can't have ice-cream for dinner? You're sick - you're allowed to!

Hot tea is lovely! We've got plenty of that going! Naps are next on the list. After we make some headway of course. I haven't played a proper videogame in ages. Maybe I should fix that...

Thankfully our deadline has come and gone, and we managed to meet it with no trouble at all. I'm just worried about making the NEXT update. Our buffer is abominably tiny, so we don't have room to take much of a break.

Oh man, there's this jelly like tea that they have at the local Hmart that's wonderful. It's honey, with ginger and some kind of citrus I don't remember the name of. Oh, to have some of that tea now~ <3 You know, the idea of icecream on a sore throat sounds lovely too! Maybe I'll make some cold smoothies or something to sooth it. Though my husband really prefers indian food when he's sick. I...can't say I'm against that myself. haha! We love indian food! blush

I'm dealing with this today. Unfortunately, since I'm unable to eat, I just don't have the energy to do much, and I spent most of the day asleep. I've managed to drag myself over to my desk to get working on my NaNoWriMo word count for the day, but I feel too gross and weak to be drawing. I don't tend to use medication or home remedies for regular viruses, because other than painkillers for a headache, I find nothing works. I prefer to sleep it out. Luckily my employer is understanding about it.

being sick is the perfect time to distract yourself and kick back. If you still want to create, just have fun with a sketch day all hopped up on cough medicine and a milkshake. :Y

Ugh, I've been feeling awful all week.

Been playing a game of duck duck goose against this freaking headcold for the better part of a month, and everytime I get better, I get back to being progressively worse...

You and me both @voshxdaemon! I had a cold knock me out last month, which I fought off after a bit, only to have it KO me again this week. Ugh. It's depressing. xD
