Oh my god, I did not expect this and I'm not the only one who thought of this of their own OC. There was no warning about nudity and sexuality as far as I know. And I thought it is clear for everyone to know that my character's appearance is that of a child.

I guess I should say something since my character is in this. I agree with the overall sentiment here that there should have been a clear warning in advance about the sexualized nature of the art. I don't really have an issue with any of my characters being depicted in this way, but a lot of people do. Everyone who is upset is completely valid. More than anything I'm really just surprised, this seems like it came out of nowhere.

In all honesty, SimplyKit's always been kind of massively "Horny On Main" to the point where they actually said this about an eight year old character.

Yes nsfw art is inevitable, especially when you’re famous, I agree with you but that’s not the problem. It’s the way Simplykit drew our characters that’s the problem. That’s why most of us are upset by this. They took our characters so innocent and some of them are children and made it into something gratifying for them. It wasn’t for us.

A warning would have been nice yes- even a "adults only" would have been good if simplykit wanted to surprise us, which I feel like was the intent.

But if I'm gonna be 100% honest with you this is some pretty good art and Im impressed that they where able to keep most of the characters recognizable within their own style (and being mostly naked) it's honestly pretty good fan art. Yes they prob wanted to do this for themselves as well as the people who submitted (I assume all of us here draw to appease ourselves as well as others) but there was some legitimate work put into these so the reception of "ew yuck" for free shit you got is annoying to me personally as an artist who used to do things for free it just irks me somewhat.

At the end of the day I don't think simplykit meant any harm from this. But a warning for next time would be nice.

The “ugh disgusting” reaction is justified. It is having our characters in hardcore sex positions! It’s exploitative! It’s wrong and utterly disgusting! Especially if some of the characters are under 18 that’s not just disgusting it’s creepy! I understand why you might think it’s good fan art but the work the artist put into NEVER justifies it.

Yeah I completely agree. It would’ve been nice if the title of this post is *adult, or given some context of NSFW. I would’ve opt out of this art giveaway personally. My character Jia is 15 years old and I don’t know what to say about this….

I am so sorry that happened to your character. It’s bloody awful and no one should draw anyone’s characters ESPECIALLY if it’s a FULL ON CHILD in this kind of nature. It’s creepy and disgusting! Let me emphasize that CREEPY AND DEHUMANIZING!

I can understand where you're coming from, but I really don't agree that "oh but they put work into it!" justifies it. You may be perfectly okay with NSFW art, and that's fine, but obviously there's a lot of people here who aren't—especially with some of the characters (and I think some of the authors) being minors. Asking people to submit characters without telling them that the art is going to be NSFW is quite frankly exploitative, and those who are disgusted are completely within their right to be disgusted.

In any case, probably best to leave this for the mods to handle.

You know they're imaginary, right? No matter how realistically you write them in your story or what age you give them, they're not human and no one can hurt them.
I get that some (especially young) people project themselves into their characters but in that case, you either keep the character to yourself or only share them with people you know, a definitely want to be very specific if you ask someone to draw your char and for free.

All I can say is y'all need to stay far far far away from Fur affinity if y'all think this is "hardcore sex" this is def sexualized but calling it porn is silly to me XD

A NSFW tag is 100% needed and it's fine that people are upset about that but... No sorry these characters are not real and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but it's something your gonna have to deal with in reality.

At the very least no one is acting as bad as some furries would be and acting like someone has aggressively r@ped them in real life because someone drew a picture.

Again its fine for y'all to be surprised and unhappy with what you got but acting like this is some kind of war crime is silly. It's free art that someone DID put work into (they didn't just Photoshop your characters faces on pron pictures and go lolz they DID put time into this.)

And like @IndigoShirtProd said- REALLY important to check who your giving permission to cause YES you DID give permission to this person to do whatever they wanted cause you didn't bother asking or even checking to see what their comic is and what they usually draw
