I'm looking forward to this.

The only thing I'd love to try is dark mode for all Tapas to see how it renders. The only thing I'm worried about is to discover how many creators have "cheated" using a "transparent" background for their. Or dark mode for comics would be the best thing ever of it will go very bad.

Can you expand on that? I'm interested to hear more of what you're concerned about, but I don't quite understand right now.

I think Blackdevil might mean using blank white pictures to create buffer between pages, or created a smooth transition using white. It's probably going to be fine if you keep a bit of white bleed on the normal pages, the background will just "frame" the episode differently.

Honestly, thank god. This has been the most annoying thing and kept me from reading for the last few weeks. I was starting to think it was my laptop.

The dark mode /gray mode/ect look sexy AF :tapa_pop:

This all sounds and looks good! Can't wait for the return of the banners, and comments on the side is a great idea!

I think its pretty awesome how connected you guys are to the community, and how open you are to making changes accordingly! Thank you, staff! <3

Great work~ looking forward to getting some of those features back

Quick question - is sidebar going to be minimize-able? Or is it permanently there? No issue if it isn't, but would be a nice-to-have down the line

Also has Tapas ever considered releasing site changes in an actual beta site? And/or collecting early feedback there? I know it's not a common practice nowadays since all the giants of tech (Facebook, Google etc) have decided to experiment on their users willy nilly without any prior notice, and get away with it since their userbase is so huge, but years ago websites used to do that...

Yep, it can be toggled on and off!

We're working on a way to release updates and plans to a limited group of creators which will resolve the issue you're concerned about - so far an open Beta isn't planned as far as I'm aware.

Mid-May you say? Hmmm, I think not. :sip:

JK, I know rollouts don't always stick to schedule.
