I might have shared some of these already, but these are some of my favorite planning sketches of Z and Alena. (Obviously there may be some changes between these and how they appear in the actual comic, considering some of them are close to a year old now.)

I was designing a potential outfit for later in the comic here. [I also badly scribbled out some spoilery notes to myself.]
I was trying to get a feel for 'older' Z here. The end result wound up being VERY different, but I liked some of the expressions and interactions here.
More playing around with outfits and the like.
