I began using Blender for several interior backgrounds, and use Krita to blend them. I like using Blender for its versatility and it helped me design a lot of furniture and architecture, but thereâs a learning curve and I learned a lot while making the latest and next episodes!
The current episode of my webtoon has several 3D rendered backgrounds, and Iâve been trying different techniques in that episode and the next one about how to blend them in to better fit with the art style.
Most of them in the latest episode were rendered with Freestyle enabled, which automatically adds lineart to the renders. The staircase panel used it, but I manually drew part of the lineart for the panel above it.
I couldnât always figure out how to get consistent results or the exact results I wanted. For the next episode, Iâve just been manually drawing the lineart over the renders and painting over the shading to more closely fit.
