Ooh, fun topic! I love seeing the sketch/final side by side. Like several of you said, I usually feel like my sketches have more life... still working on keeping that energy in my final inks!

Here is a thumbnail/final page comparison for my comic:

And another page from thumbnail to final:

oh this is a fun thread :smiley:

I'll do thumb -> Sketch/Pencils -> Final

(these are kinda spoiler pages, they're a couple weeks out still from uploading xD oh well!)

My story board sketches more or less look like this:

For this project I'm doing the linework traditionally, so I do the actual sketches that the ink goes over on paper like this:
(these two pages got exploded into like 2 and a half pages xD this kind of panel rearrangement happens a lot when I'm drawing the actual pages.)

And then the final pages look like this:

I don't want to think much after the sketch... at least when it comes to panels for my comic, I just want to turn on tv and go into robot mode and do my lines, flats, and (sometimes think about) shadows- the last one depending on how cool the scene is. So I feel like my final product is essentially what you expect from the sketch..
