I don’t know about you, but my sketches are so ridiculous compared to the finished product. Share yours too! (Even if they’re not silly looking it’s fun to see how they’ve developed.)
Ooh, what a great thread idea. I post novels, not comics, so... *lurks*
I've got an overwhelming amount of rough doodles I could share, haha! But for the moment here's a recent comic panel before and after, as well as some fanart:
My WIPS are the best part, the final doesn't even matter
That expression on your WIP
Sometimes I think the sketches are better than the final Xp
My sketches are actually cleaner than they used to be, because it makes the lineart process much quicker. Get that finicky trial-and-error stage out while sketching instead of lining.
My sketches are traditional and often near final, esp if I put BG in.
I don’t actually line
But I usually like the sketches better ><
I usually erased the sketch because my files are big and I need save space T_T
But sometimes I left the sketch layer (sketching is my favorite part of drawing)
And here's an illustration (a very dark Chatot. It was part of a proyect in my country (a Pokedex), but I have to remade it because chatot is not that sinister)
My sketch layer can vary but this is the average. Some days I get carried away with details...others times things end up like blobs and I curse myself when I move onto doing the lineart :" )
This is mine...
What a fun thread!
Hee!

My sketches can get pretty detailed and clean
I usually draw my sketches on paper first, I just work better with a pencil and drawing over it from there.
Step by step of my avatar. Could have done the color in half that time if I had set up my ink layers properly
