So, I am not sure if this will help, but I have started doing a "sneak peek" of my chapters on Wednesdays.
I update every Saturday, but on Wednesday the first 3 paragraphs of my upcoming chapter is published.

Originally I was posting the sneak peeks on my wall, but i felt like this was easier for the viewers to find.

Where are you posting them?

I know one of the comics I read does a "recap" in the updates. So you read update 1 then update 2 has the last 1 or 2 panels from update 1, then proceeds forward.
As a binge reader, this annoys me because I don't need the refresher and you're just wasting my time scrolling through stuff I just read.

I'm always excited when the next update is up, but if I see a sneak peek every wednesday, just to wait until saturday for the full episode, I'd feel annoyed or having a deja vu feeling lol

If you want to bring more updates in a week, you can break down each episode in parts so it would be more consistent

Gonna agree with @nostalgicroxas there, first thing that comes to mind is Castle Swimmer where I sometimes take a break between episodes, come back, think I'm still in the old one, and I need to get my bearings. Still a great comic but dunno I don't like that format.

I used to do sneak peeks on my social media instead, a significant number of days before the update. Now that Sunday is a posting break I don't do it anymore, but it could work if you do big updates every time and you need something else to fill the schedule.

Well I am a writer, not an artist. So mine are novels. I am creating additional chapters and then when the full chapter gets published, I delete the extra one.

Thanks guys! I might just have to go back to posting the sneak peeks on my wall then :slight_smile:

Rather than posting the sneak peek of first 3 paragraph, how about just one part or sentence? Or maybe a quote of what one of the character in that chapter says? One that would make reader curious about the next chapter and make them cannot wait to read to find out about it?

Because 3 paragraph actually contains a lot of information imo.

@hannahlaine

Can you post the sneak peeks on Wednesday but then delete/write over them when you post on Saturday ?

Solves the binge reading problem, and you can still send out the new update alert to subscribers. Just a thought.
