if you're using the app you probably noticed the newly added "Discover" tab.
i have a lot to say about this but i'll keep it simple...
how is it any different from the Home tab? it's more of the same, but cluttered.
the same Premium comics & novels but arranged and categorized differently.
it helps no one but Premium creators (not even readers)
i don't know about you, but the more i see of the same thing, over and over again, the less likely i'm interested in it and will probably never wanna check it out. (ever heard of "spam"???) Especially when just about all the stuff presented is paid content.
i wonder what was the thought process behind this. what does it offer me, an app user, that the Home tab doesn't offer already?
in fact, knowing that i have to always go back and check the newly made "The Daily Snack" tab (which as far as i can tell also replaced the fun daily themes of every comic for, of course, Premium content) instead of the daily notification is making me, a reader, a whole lot less inclined to go back and do so. I'm a busy person with a golden fish memory i'll eventually forget and miss out on any cool themed snacks (if they aren't scrapped already) and freebies.
I get Tapas is a business and needs income, but sometimes i really question their decisions. this does nothing but increase clutter, makes paying for content less attractive or inviting, and alienates your aspiring content creator even more.
I just want a quick tab that shows me content that's neither Premium, Popular, or Trending. Is that too much to ask? XD;;
I'm curious how you guys feel about this. anyone shares the same sentiment? different point of view? any Premium content creator out there feels this change actually helped them significantly?
