Well... This can not be answered in a simple forum post.
It really depends on what kind of game you want to make. There are tons of tutorials available online, so I suggest starting out with google searches. The development process with be drastically different depending on the type of gameplay you want (eg. point+click, RPG, platforming) so narrow down your searches by figuring out what kind of game you are making and go from there.
I definitely recommend using different software for game development - especially if you have no prior coding knowledge. If you know a bit about coding it should be relatively easy to get into making games on any software that can do it. If not there are tons of free game engines out there with SUPER easy programming tools, like RPG Maker and Ren'py.
Anyway, tutorials are the way to go here. There's some amazing ones on YouTube and even on some development blogs for any software you can think of.
