Quarantine finally made me watch all the Ghibli's. Now let's fly!
Favorite Studio Ghibli movie: My Neighbour Totoro. So many to choose from, but my reason for picking this is because I wish this was the childhood film that I grew up with.
Least favorite: Tales from Earthsea. So much potential for world-building and characters arcs, but sadly, the execution was poor, it felt rushed despite the slow pacing and apparently, they cramped a lot of the book series in one movie, which is a big mistake.
Most Underrated: Only Yesterday. This is one of the best slice of life anime films I've seen. I expected to feel bored watching it, but instead, I was hooked by how charming and relatable it is.
Favorite Soundtrack: Spirited Away. This one's tough, but I gotta go for the one that gives me nostalgia every time I listen to it.
Favorite Character: Baron Humbert Von Gikkingen (The Cat Returns). He's a cool suit-wearing gentleman cat. What more can I say?
Favorite Villain: Lady Eboshi (Princess Mononoke). So much tenacity and depth. I'd be down for a solo film.
Favorite Creature: That God Warrior scene from Nausicaa is so awesome.
Favorite Couple: Shizuku & Seiji (Whisper of the Heart). A beautiful portrait of innocent teenage love and the burning passion in the things we love .
Favorite World: Howl's Moving Castle. I'd love to be part of the castle crew and journey around the land (maybe not during the war era).
