If you have around 20 pages completed, would you think it makes sense to post more than one to start? Maybe end on a cliffhanger? Or is posting one page weekly enough, so that you can keep a large buffer. Can you gain followers that way?

Depending how many panels per page. Unless it's those one panel punchline type comics.

Weekly schedule is good but also consider how you pace your story.

It depends on how fast you draw, I personally upload 2-4 pages per chapter and group them into logical sections. I feel it's easier for the reader to keep track of their progress if each chapter was associated with a specific conversation or event (as opposed to trying to remember whether they read up to page X or Y).

ya you definitely can gain followers with 1 page per week, that's how digital comics have traditionally been done. There are some rlly popular ones with that schedule. You should make the very first update 5-10 pages tho so the readers get familiar with the story

I think I'm in the minority about an episode/issue being one page. Personally not a fan.

I don't really pay attention to how many pages an episode are. I've uploaded ones that are 3 pages, and ones that are 10+

I try to make every episode an episode. It begins with a setup, and ends on either a punchline, a reveal, or a cliffhanger. Sometimes that takes more pages than others but that's the way she goes.

As a reader I look for the same. Issues with a setup and payoff.
