I'm sorry if this isn't the right place, but none of the other forums seemed more appropriate for this.
I've been pretty inactive as a creator, for...a while now. I have three titles I run, but none of them have been updated for a while, since I was overwhelmed by things in real life.
I have been working on one of the titles for a few months and I'm almost ready to start updates on it again, but nowhere have I stated this, besides a single post with pics of sketches on my personal wall and I highly doubt this notifies anyone else but my current followers.
But yes, basically - no updates from me for MONTHS and suddenly I've been swarmed with new subscribers in a single day. I checked a dozen of them at random and didn't find anything that suspicious about them... one had spammed the same comment on different series, but that was about it.. But it really bugs me that they all seemed to just pop out of nowhere and honestly, I find it hard to believe people would just sub to a series that hasn't updated for two years.
By the time I wrote this, five new ones appeared. I'm paranoid that these are all bot accounts (obv. some of them would be hacked, since they had very normal comments posted on various series) and that I might get in trouble for this somehow.
